With the current state of the country, I think it's time to develop on our own. I mean to each his own. We have already destruct a long time ago and the light is nowhere to be seen. Mas maayo nalang pud cguro nga mag iya-iya nalang ta. Mga Bisaya mo develop ug ila, mga tagalog mo develop ug ila. Mag lisod na ta ug compete with our Asian neighbors kay kita ra sad naka-ingon nganong naingon ta ini. So why not start competing within us. Ang Pinoy cguro mo improvar kung makita niya nga ang uban ni asenso. Kung ang Cebu maka gama ug morag Singapore nga self sufficient ang mga tawo and well disciplined and free of corruption mao nay mamahimo unya nga ehemplo sa ubang regions nga maka-ingon cla, if the Cebuanos can do it, why can't us? And for me the best region who has positioned well is no other than where Cebu is. And there is a greater chance that Cebu will emerge as the exception in the "sick man of Asia". So mag ampo ko sa kahitas-an... Ihatag tawon ang REPUBLIC OF CEBU.

Nice thought, however Cebu is in a very different geographic location versus that of Singapore, which is at the tip of the Malay Peninsula. Cebu on the other hand is in the very heart of the Philippine archipelago. Sandwich among bigger islands. If we declare ourselves independent, "Philippine" provinces can easily block trading routes via sea, choking Cebu's economy. Independence at this point is not feasible if not outright advisable.

parliamentary or federal form. just like in the US. Para, we in cebu, can govern ourselves away from Manila. We would be more prosperous by then. Its obvious the present one, is very centralized & reached out only to the needs in Manila. Looy kaayo naas probinsya.
