speaking of Social Climbers...unsay opposite ana? kana ganing datu na kaayo but still try to portray a very low profile, humble and intentionally try to look poor even though their filthy rich? i have a friend whose like that.. he owns and drives a very nice and expensive car but when you see him you'd think he's just a driver.haha..

a social climber is the one who tries to be a part of a higher social stratum by acting like one to gain prominence in the society but lacks finesse. it is susually characterized by abhoring his own social status and avoiding the company of people in his class.

politicians can be called social climbers too in the strict sense of the word. a social climber usually commits a large dose of faux pas. he usually lacks social grace and unwittingly violate etiquette rules in accordance to standard social customs in that particular class.

me? u can call me a climber, yes. a mountain climber that is!
