I hope to end this thread in the light of the truth. The Society of Saint Pius X from its very foundation, from its reason of existence, and from its very core is Roman Catholic, was, is, and will always be. The priestly society was founded in November 1970 by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre when young priests went to him being scandalized by the modernism being openly practiced in the very churches built by our Catholic ancestors. When Rome would not hear their pleas, Lefebvre, on June 1988, ordained four young men as bishops and they are: Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, Richard Williamson, Alfonso de Galarreta and Bernard Fellay. (Society of Saint Pius X-District of Asia SSPX)
Right then, right there, Archbishop Lefebvre and his four new bishops were proclaimed excommunicated from the Catholic Church, calling them disobedient to the pope, papist, and so forth.
Fast forward. Twenty years later, 2009. The excommunication was lifted by Pope Benedict XVI. Alleluia! (Pope Benedict lifts excommunication of bishops ordained by Lefebvre :: Catholic News Agency (CNA))
Things are never simple, it is complicated. Our leaders in Rome, our leaders above the hierarchical church have a lot of thing going on. They argue everyday, go about the business of the Church. And very sad to say, the smoke of Satan has entered our very church and our leaders may be conspired to go about the business of the Church in ways of the devil.
It is your faith. It is your strength. It is your love for God that you should be strong. You as ordinary citizens but extraordinary Catholic citizens, should be strong when some people label you excommunicated when you choose to follow the priestly society, when you choose to hear the Traditional Latin mass, when you choose to defy modernism. Being a Catholic is a responsibility, a serious responsibility but a very beautiful privilege a human soul can ever have. You being a Catholic is a gift to you from the martyrs, pope, and saints who have fought and died for the Catholic faith, which is now in your very hands.
I have been a Traditional Catholic since I was nine years old, and I still am. I hope to live and die as a Traditional Catholic. I am a faithful advocate of the Society of Saint Pius X. Of course, there are a lot of judgments being thrown to us from strangers, from neighbors, from friends, even from family. But who is not willing to suffer in the name of Jesus? It is a great honor to fight in the name of Jesus. It is an honor to fight for the true Catholic Church. It is a rare blessing indeed, to see joy in suffering...and all these in the name of Jesus! Another rare blessing I have is that I received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Bernard Tissier De Mallerais himself, one of the bishops ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre.
As Bishop Bernard Tissier De Mallerais once said in one of his sermons during a Confirmation ceremony, "That is the battle of today and it is tiresome I confess it because it led already 40 years since the beginning of the Second Vatican Council so the crisis of the church began forty years ago and it can lead many more years. We must prepare to fight longer. So we need perseverance, we need the christian strength that is meant by fortitude from the Holy Ghost." (Confirmation Sermon - Part 2 of 2 - YouTube)
Dominus vobiscum!
Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven. 33 But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33
this can start an interesting conversation. thanks for the thread revival.

Sometimes Religion are more like Politics....
They're counter-cultural for the sake of being counter-cultural; traditionalist for the sake of being traditionalist; they pride themselves with their inflexibility and mistake mere trivialities for the essence of their faith. A bunch of cranky old men who see evil in all things modern, and who thinks "the good ol' days" were better in every way.
