yup, it's bound to happen, one day some one will arrive and be the "rightful heir" if not better... lebron? maybe... and one day when that rightful heir will walk away, people will look for his own heir and jordan will just be one of the legends like wilt, jabbar or magic... but as of the moment, jordan is still the best of the best...

it will take time for lebron james. but he's the closest. kobe bryant? statistically, maybe, but being a basketball god? no way.

why is allen iverson not in the list? i think if he has a competitive supporting cast, he could have been close to jordan.

kobe can never be jordan, mao ni mga facts

jordan competed with legends, og mao ni iya era

    he competed against
Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Reggie Miller, Chris Mullin, Dominique Wilkins, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, even Shaquille O Neal......

    while Kobes era

Kevin Garnet, Tim Duncan, Tmac, Iverson, Rasheed Wallace, Dirk Nowitski, Steve Nash, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Chris Webber, Alan Houston, Sprewel, ............

i compare kuno ila mga opponents......... tan awa ang ka era ni Jordan, 85 percent legends, some of them are MVP's

heck Tim Duncan is even better that Kobe.........try surpassing duncan first before jordan........

    first 3 championships

1991 Jordan against Magic Johnson, sidekick Pippen norming 18 - 20 pts a game
    1992 Jordan vs. Drexler
    1993 Jordan vs. Barkley

    Kobes

2000 shaq, vs miller sidekick kobe
    2001 shaq vs iverson
    2002 shaq vs kidd

icompara kuno si kidd, miller og iverson ni Magic, Drexler og Barkley...... diba layo ra kaayo........unya sa iya 3 championship sidekick ra siya, he even once said , he will win more championship than michael, and said Michael was a low key player.......are you kidding me.........

to summarize this Jordan won his three championship in a hardway,,,,,,, I dont think kobe can win three straight titles without shaq........

I bet to disagree! yes he can win a championship w/o shaq, for example we will take out shaq of the equation for there 3 championship, although it may seem difficutl, an uphill battle but i think he can!

hahaha one of the better anwers,,, younger generations doesnt really get the point, and doesnt really know how physical the defense in Jordan's era and compare it to how lame the defense is in Kobe' era..........thats why they think kobe is better than jordan.......you have to be superhuman to surpass him........

and I dont think kobe will win those 3 champiionships without shaq.......

    first

2000 west finals, I dont think the lakers can beat Portland without shaq, naglisod man gani sila with shaq unsa nalang wala..... and to think miracle ra gani to ila victory ato, thanks to brian shaw.....

2001 west finals - whom they sweep the spurs....... but without shaq, I dont think makaya ni Horry si Duncan og Robinson(the twin towers)

2002 - west finals - ang pinakalisod nila nga gipildi, overtime pa gyud pag game seven, tang tanga kuno si shaq sa game 7, madaog ba ang lakers

im not pro Jordan, im just favoring the facts, and there will be someone who will surpass him not in this generation.........

yeah kobe should try surpassing Tim Duncan first before Jodan

Tim has 3 rings, 2 reg. season mvp's, 3 finals mvp

Kobe has 3 rings, 0 reg. season mvp's, o finals mvp...... but this year he's really close to winning an MVP, but a championship, they may upset their opponents in the first 2 rounds, but they will never ever pass the Spurs.......bisan i Poll pa na ninyo......

nya ibutang nato mag miracle, mosolod sila sa finals, against the pistons, samot, a man team can really beat a team effort.........

we, lakers fans, know that the lakers are depending 80 percent on Kobe, while sa pistons, the five players are depending on each other.....and i dont think lamar, and kwame can compete against the wallace's......

another facts sad at age 28 Jordan vs. Kobe

    jordan

    scoring title - check
    championship - check
    reg. season mvp - check
    finals mvp - check

    Kobe
    scoring title - check
    championship - wala pa kahibalo
    reg. season mvp - unknown
finals mvp - unknown............ mga fans ni Kobe mao na inyo atngan, kung makuha na niya.......karon nga year.....

For me Lebron will make his own legacyÂ* Lebron james is a combination of magic johnson as a team player thats why he can have triple doubles at any night,Â* and he has the leadership ability of what micheal jordan had. but We can never know what would happend in the future (injuries and things Happend) will just wait and see.

Micheal Jordan in the mid 80's was known to be a dominant player and a Hog. Most people love to see him score but not all believe he was that great at early 90's. I rememeber that time people called the chicago bulls a team jordan. But when he retired and cameback thats where people change there views and knew how great he was and he developed Team workÂ* and improving his shooting ability. At mid 90'sÂ* chicago was not called a jordan team.Â* All of the team members with michael Jordan as thier Captain was rememberd as the Chicago bullsÂ* the best team of the nba having a record of 72-10.Â*

Larry bird and Magic Johnson has there own legacies more of a team player compared to Michael Jordan as a scorer most of his career time.

Kobe will be a Dominant scorer and we dont know if he might change. as long as we know he still keeps improving his game as a scorer.and keeps pilling up records. 81 pointsÂ* is a tough score to acheive and they won that game. And Shaq needs kobe to earn 3 championships.Â* Both of them still did not won a single nba champion alone.

Lets face it Guys we shouldnt keep bragging because if we do, we might eat our own words. Like what Barkley had done by kissing the ass of a Donkey. Saying that Yao ming couldnt scoreÂ*

For me I am a fan that love's to see different kinds of players and teams compete in the nba. If there is a game like Cleveland vs Lakers for sure that we would want to see kobe and lebron score much points as they can and win the game, look how much trill the game would be. even if one player losses, the important thing. I enjoy watching them play. Same as Detroits menacing defense 48 minutes of the game, or San antonio's Robert horry 4th quarter Brutal clutch three's in every playoff series can change the game how people think.

yeah its tough to score 81, but can kobe do it in Jordan's era, where the defense is so tough as hell, pippen once said this Jordan earned his 30 plust points in a hardway........

to those of you who DONT believe READ THIS: MAO NI COMMENTS NI PIPPEN REGUARDING KOBE TO BE COMPARED TO MJ

AKO NALANG NI GI SUMMARIZE KAY TAAS KAAYO, KUNG GUSTO GYUD MOG PROOF PANGITAA ANG ARTICLE NI PIPPEN SA NBA.COM

scottie pippen once said this in an interview, just bec. kobe scored 81 doesnt mean hes better than jordan.......and he also added that they are both great players but the difference between them is Jordan belongs to the era were Defense is really physical, while Kobe belongs to the era where defense is less and offense is more prioiritze, it is illegal if you tripplle team a player right now, thats what he said, and there are no hand checks in todays rule, ..........but he said that he was really proud to belong in those era where so many legends are born.......

and he also added, that if todays rules were applied in his era, esp in the NBA finals 1991 where he guards Magic Johnson, he said he's difinitely be fouling out in just five minutes.........

and he also said if he was still in his prime and if he has to guard Kobe in todays rule, he wont last a quarter, fould out gyud siya......

and I think Pippen got a point there, look at the NBA eastern finals in 1993 against the Knicks, tan awa unsa ka physical si Oakley, Starks, Mason, mura na nila patyon si Jordan sa ila Karubo........

same with the Pistons, puwerting robaha...... pero karon mahikapan lng gamay fould dayon......

Pippen also said, that Jordan earned his 30 in hardway , back in the day when a player scores a 40 points, headline na kuno sa news, but now a player can score 40 in a half, thats how weak the defense is.....

imagine Jordan in his prime in todays rules.........will he score a 100, of course maybe be more, but pippen added hes not gonna do that coz phil jackson wont allow him.... bec. his teamates will difinitelly think that they are not worthy........

MJ is the greatest of all time..he can play offense with defense at the same time. he's just pure genius.
