Zantac is an H2 blocker, while Nexium is a proton pump inhibitor. For fast relief sa hyper, antacids (eg. Tums) work the fastest, while meds like Zantac provide better results but has a slower onset of action (30-60 mins). The best in the market right now for hyper and for GERD (OTC products lang ni ha) is Prilosec. All the other drugs in its class are prescription meds. The effect is much slower though, it takes about 3-4 days before you notice any effect, but if you take the 14-day regimen, that should provide you relief for 4 months.

Omeprazole is OTC, you can get it without a prescription. The recommended/standard dose is one tablet (20 mg) in the morning, 30-60 minutes before a meal. The standard course of treatment is 14 days.

If this doesn't work for you, then you might need to try the other meds in this class (proton pumps) like Nexium, Aciphex, Prevacid, Protonix. Kung dili lang gihapon mo work, you need to definitely be examined by a doc, kay basin H. pylori na ang cause ana, in which case, the doc will give you antibiotics in combination with a proton pump.

you need to stop smoking and drinking, cut down on greasy and fatty foods.
if you won't adhere to a lifestyle modification, then you will always be having this kind of problem and so much more.
