What kind of paintings do u like?
some of the painters whos works i really admire;
rembrandt van rinj for his very melodramatic play of light and shadow.
juan luna for his "spoliarium" also paint somewhat similar in style with rembrandt.
michaelangelo for his works at the sistine ceiling at the sistine chapel in vatican, rome particularly "the creation of adam"
i dont like the well know paintings done by picasso (very modern and abstract), i still prefer his very early painting.
water color paintings are very hard to find but some of the best paintings done in watercolor are by chinese artist and they are good at it.

impressionism and post impressionism.... monet, cezanne ...van gogh was very good, and crazy too... his colors were so... intensely intense... urk
oils are the best for me... starry night's sky was whirls and swirls of colors... did he really see the world like that?
