i disagree. this thread belongs to the buy and sell. if you have plans on selling this item, why not start a thread there how much ONE would buy this. this forum is supposed to be a discussion on hardware components, etc.

i third the motion!!! well the thread starter is just inquiring about the price range with the specs of his laptops so you cant say that it should be in the buy and sell section. he is not selling it here anyway and he only would like to know if he is going to sell the laptops how much will it be at a price that is right for both the buyer and the seller. and then after that its going to be posted at the buy and sell section at a specific price, since our forum doesnt allow a bidding/auction type of deal when selling/buying things.

there is no trading happening here just inquiries and posting of opinions. if u can read thru the threads its just opinions how much on their opinion the value of the used items. i havent offerd to sell the item on the thread and nobody askd to buy the item on the thread.

possibly, this can be on general post. its only an inquiree.. but thread starter can always start his post at the buy and sell section when he sells it for sure.

for the thread starter, my opinion on your post:
14k-17k on your acer... reason: it's a celeron... possibly 17k...
12k-14k on your compaq... reason: crack as you stated, only 40Gb HDD, 512Mb RAM, and the post you have below... hehehe

I'd say 19-21k for the Acer and 12-14k for the Compaq
