PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS- the SCIENTIFIC WAY!

I believe there have been attempts to prove these paranormal activities the scientific way. I’ve seen documentaries on this matter but there was no direct assertion that such thing exists.

Let me borrow these two quotes from the THIRD EYE thread.

I think pareho lang man.... if u dwell on the same frequency and u perceived the same things.... but for example...if there is a presence of an angel, a Christian that has a third eye may see it as a winged creature of light while a Hindu may see it as a different image...that's because the entity( the angel) is perceived by these two people differently!

Coz they do not see the things that they cannot perceive naman... for example ung story about the spaniards that came sa america...the Shamans of the tribe detected something coming but since they dont have the perception how the galleons look like they cannot see it...nakita lang nila ung barko when they saw the Spaniards....

Basing on these statements, we need to sit down, grab coffee and talk about it.

So kinsa may nagsulti sa tinuod ani ron? Scientists, for all we know, will do ANYTHING to refute the non-scientific claims and vice versa. Thus, a debate.

Hi All,

Most of our Paranormal Investigations consist largely on Psychic Investigation but less on Scientific or by use of any gadgets.

I remember iczyes discussed this with me to head this group..LOL. I mean, I was referring to another department who will take care errrr bring the CPS toolbox (audio / video recorder, motion / sound detector, EMF Meters to name a few).

The way I look at it, having this kind of department will take us an overnight stay at a place that needs to be investigated or assemble all the tools / gadgets during "spirit questing" - when the group starts to meditate and performing the Tower of Light.

So I think it's about time that CPS will start forming a scientific department / geeky side of being a paranormal investigator. So this is entirely on monitoring various environmental factors for noticeable and unexplained shifts or trends, use any gadgets to measure factors like atmospheric pressure, humidity, static electricity and other content in the air or environment.

These are the following tools that I would suggest for our group:

1) Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Meters
Electromagnetic Field (EMF) meters measure levels of electromagnetic radiation—which ghost hunters believe apparitions emit. This radiation originates from a wide variety of sources, including the earth, people, electronics and power lines. Different EMF meters gauge radiation levels at different frequencies, so some investigators choose to carry multiple meters.

2) Cameras and Video Recorders
Though other ghost hunters say the value of photographic or digital images in this pursuit is debatable. Some paranormal investigators believe that ghosts cannot be photographed at all and that the true value of photographic and video recording equipment is in capturing witness testimony and documenting locations. A combination of audio and video will eventually convince the public of the existence of ghosts.

3) Motion and Sound Detectors
Motion sensors can alert paranormal investigators to movement in unoccupied rooms. Since ghosts are believed to be ethereal, spirits wouldn't likely set off a motion detector alarm, Auerbach says, but objects they might influence or move potentially could.

4) Digital Thermometers / Thermal Scanners
Thermometers have been used for decades in paranormal investigations, as cold spots are said to be clues to the locations of supernatural beings, says Loyd Auerbach, founder and director of the Office of Paranormal Investigations.

5) Computers
To record any logs during the paranormal investigation or use a computer when there's a device or gadget that needs to be interfaced right directly to the serial port.

6) How about a dog?
Hahahaha....when the dog starts to howl or bark for sure na-ay momo.

Our monthly dues will surely help us buy our own gadgets or Do-It-Yourself thing but we need help from ECE student or professionals to help us build this customized gadget. I can ask the owner of Teknika to help us with this one. I will consult this with him or visit his store near my boarding house.

Officially, I will handle this group and starts canvasing these gadgets. If lucky enough, we can customized our own gadget with the help of the owner of Teknika.

I will update this thread from time to time...when I'm not busy with my projects. Those who are interested to join me are very much welcome. As long as you have a cellphone, Internet access and a landline...the better so we can keep in touch with each other.

Another example that I want to share with you guys. This is an old case handled by Cebu Paranormal Society before, somewhere in Mandaue. I can't exactly recall the exact address. Iczys, this is our real problem, we tend not to document cases we handled. Argh! I think we should start it with the new batch of officers.

The invitation was that to conduct some questing at their house because there's a paranormal thing going on after their father died. There was this bad relationships among its family members.

To make the story short, they experienced like TV automatically switched On / Off. Water Faucet automatically turns On / Off, some kitchen utensils starts to make some noise...I mean according to the family members their dad is haunting them.

At that time we merely use psychic abilities and yes there are lot of things that were confirmed by the family members. I was there and participated the Tower of Light. One thing that I shared to the group and to the family members is of how I described the old lady which turned out to be their grandmother. Like how I described her hair and what she was wearing. I asked them if the wake of their grandmother was at their house during her death, and the family member said "Yes".

So basically, they have issues with the living and the dead.

The question now is how to help the living and the departed ones. How to help the spirit move towards the light.

So you see, this is where scientific investigation should come in. We don't have devices for recording purposes and to investigate the scientific way.

I know the recent Spirit Questing being conducted by CPS just this year, if I'm not mistaken it was conducted a month ago (I was not there to participate). The case was about a murder case here in Cebu. It's not yet resolved and the murderer is still at large - mag one year na. The client (as we call them) found our Cebu Paranormal Society website by searching the Internet. Humbly speaking, our website serves its purpose and we are happy with that.

Like what our members had said, we don't ask for a FEE or Professional FEE because we do this as a service to help them.

In my personal opinion, I also recommend the family members to pray the soul of their dad, heal their relationship with each other.

My study and research on Paranormal Phenomena leads me to understand and accept that the living are affected by the spirits, and spirits are also affected by the living.

The dead will be affected by the affairs and thoughts of their loved ones they left behind. We have a case like this in one of our friends outside the circle. That is why it is wrong to mourn too much the passing of a person. It keeps the dead from moving towards the Light or to the higher realms of the spirit world. Yes, prayers help the spirits of the dead.

The problem in our country (Philippines) is people associated psychic with a person able to tell the future. This is wrong. There are many forms or types of psychic abilities such as telepathy (you can save text mesg from this), telekinesis and clairvoyance. There are also people who can do remote viewing, empath but cannot tell the future. They are all psychics. I know and I’m aware that some people are better at it than others. They should not consider us above the rest or like God because we are just trying to maximize the potential of “Becoming Human.”

In my early days of studying Paranormal Phenomena, I'm like Jaime Licauco. I'm his avid fan since high school, you do the math...LOL. I read his article in Philippine Daily Inquirer, the INNER AWARENESS. I normally do research and even meet real psychics. When I say real psychics is when I conduct interviews in a friendly manner or ask them to give me a reading and I evaluate them. I have one friend from Samar who is my consultant in dealing with business and in my career. He even have clients from abroad who contacts him.

I'm amazed lang of his accuracy when giving me readings over Yahoo Messenger. We just laugh at it when I give him my confirmation. Like a foreigner client I met recently in Hilton Resort and SPA in Mactan. I gave his name to my friend over Yahoo Messenger and he gave me readings of what to do during our meeting and how to prepare myself.

If you ask me, I met real psychics because in my study they do exists but I am not like those who are here in istorya.net forum members who wants to test them like putting them under a microscope or a laboratory just to satisfy their curiosity that they are gifted. I don't do that. We don't do that. I still respect them of what they are good at and who they are. You cannot make friends with that kind of attitude.

I forgot this is a forum pala, I thought I'm having a public speech...LOL....sorry for the long post.
