Is there a way to make the mms and message forwarding functional in the old Iphone, like the one I am using now?

yeah.... I still dont understand why Apple cant enable a simple feature like MMS and message forwarding in an iphone

Other downers I have noticed on the iphone 3G:
1. no front camera for video chat
2. still using 2 megapixel camera while the competitors are releasing 5 megapixels
3. no flash
3. no copy & paste function
4. cannot be used as a modem

bummer.... I guess the iphone is still not perfect.

still a lot of catching up to do...iphone fanatics just have to keep convincing themselves they will be rewarded in the end...more waiting and hoping and praying for something that might or might never happen...i feel sad for them really...

how many mms messages have been sent not many are using it out of the millions of sms sent everyday how many percent is MMS?? not even 1 percent... I will bet on that....

you can email with the iphone.... so you can attach pictures with it.... 3rd party apps can take care of that

i have a chinese supplier who doesnt do emails...only thru mms do we get images of products sent to each other. his english is poor. my chinese is poor. images helps bridge the gap. it works for us.

i also have a good friend who is hardly online. no dsl. computer is a pentium 1. only home 20% of the year. also relies on mms to get images across as soon as possible straight from our camera phones.

i also have this client who doesnt go online. doesnt know how to use a computer. inquires about phones i just send him mms of the new phone he is asking bout (usually some new unit he hears from a friend) and gives a go or not (he buys or not) base on the mms. and deliver nako ang phone. otherwise not possible if i didnt have mms (thats why i had to get an mms capable phone and ditch my 6310i)

just today a client calls and ask for the cheapest mms capable phone (extra phone)...why specify MMS phone if he doesnt use it...

i also have another client in my photography. he inquires...i mms him the photo. if he likes. he books. if he doesnt he ask for other mms. its convenient and on the spot anywhere anytime.

my lawyer also deals with mms. prefers it over email since he needs to be in the office for emails. confidential images he highly recommends to be sent via mms rather than email since his secretary assist him with his emails.

to each his own and the point here is, its always better to have it ready just in case than not have it at all when you need it.

less than 0.1 percent..... so why really hype it up.... MMS is almost 10 years... it hasn't really been accepted by all GSM subscribers....

2nd of all.... 5 megapixel phone.... how much is the size of the picture almost 1 megabyte or even more than 1 megabyte.... you want to mms that?

sms is text
mms is multimedia (PHOTOS/audio/etc)
not the same thing.

if you can send photo/audio/etc. via sms then mms would be pointless but thats not the case...
no one is hyping mms...its just something many of us use (some use seldom others dont)...
point is iphone doesnt have this feature thats already found in cheap under 3,000pesos na phones...
text forwarding is also another feature many many of us use which is found on phone under 1,500pesos...
features found in 5 year old phones...even 10 year old phones...

also i dont care bout the world wide number...its philippine numbers id like to know

hehe so what? it doesnt have mms to begin with...hahaha! funny

having 5mp photos can easily be reduced for mms sending...infact on phones like n95, its done automatically without the user even noticing it

besides 5mp allows photos to be PRINTED with more clarity and at a larger size.
lack of optical zoom on these camera phones allow cropping with a lot better results than otherwise possible with a 2mp resolution.

its easy to reduce the size of high quality photos...next to impossible to put more quality/detail to low quality/resolution photos.

hmmm, no excuse for not putting flash or any light source for lowlight photography!


honestly now, all these arguments (or should i say defense) why iphone doesnt have these features is silly if you look back on the reasons people gave why the original iphone didnt have gps (now it will)...didnt have 3g (now it will)...didnt have bluetooth voice support (now it has)...didnt have standard 3.5 jack (now it will) and look how those same people are bragging bout those "new" features on the upcoming iphone 3g...

year from now i bet iphone will come up with 5mp and mms capability and sms forwarding...then all these defending would be for nothing...

point is, it doesnt have it and i want it and since others have it i wont wait for iphone to catch up
let iphone catchup on its own time...till that becomes a reality, im going with another brand
