i prefer cats because:
1. they look dignified, naay poise, unlike dogs nga mustick out ra ang tongue nya maglaway-laway!
2. cats smell better than dogs, except for the fact that cat poo stinks more
3. cats can be very affectionate
4. cats have less pests in their hair
5. cats are neat
6. cats always cover up their shit while dogs just leave theirs out in the open
7. cats come in different shapes, sizes and colors
8. cats are not common pets compared to dogs
9. cats are generally smaller than dogs, i am referring to the domesticated cat species
10. the love of cats runs in the family

I'm a pet lover and both are fine as I had them as a kid, many kittens and a few dogs. Between them, dogs are my obvious choice for companion as cats are very much like Garfield, they have a "care-free" attitude all the time and wouln't be bothered with your presence comparing to dogs.
