This coming January 2009, my brother, with his wife and his 2-year old son will be flying from England to visit us here in Cebu for 2 weeks. It would be their first time to come here and I want them to enjoy their stay. My problem is, I'm not really from Cebu and I have no idea which hotels, resorts, etc. to recommend. They want it to be child-friendly enough for a 2-year old. It would also be better if it is not very expensive.
I would appreciate detailed suggestions. Thanks. (^_^)V
Aside from the obvious beach resorts for scuba and similar water activities and malling in SM and Ayala, there are many interesting things to do while in Cebu. What I suggest that you browse through the threads here in the Destinations boards for the information.
Here are some threads you can start your search with:

Since your brother and his family is coming this January 2008, maybe they could time their arrival just some days before the Sinulog Festival.
For more information on that, check here: Sinulog Festival 2008!: The Official Website of Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, Philippines!
