The 8800 GTS is essentially an 8800 GT with a little more firepower; it sports 128 universal shaders compared to the GT’s 112. It bests its 8800 GT brother, but not by much—however, the dual-slot reference cooler on the 8800 GTS 512 MB is quieter than the reference cooler on the 8800 GT, and forces hot air out of the case. If silence and a cool case are important to you, the 8800 GTS 512 might be a better choice.

My motherboard's box/manual says "Crossfire Ready" does it mean, I can't put NVIDIA cards in it?

Coz I'm targeting for a VC upgrade and I don't know if pwede ba NVIDIA VC sa akong mobo..

you can put a single nvidia card but not 2 pcs nvidia cards coz your board is crossfire. that means that you can multi-GPU with ATI cards and not with nvidia cards. but if it says SLi ready then you can multi-GPU with nvidia but not with ATI.

yeah, provided that you have an SLi ready board. (650i, 680i, 750i, 780i, etc...) the cheapest SLi board retails for about 5K, and the hottest soars up to 20K a pop. (check prices to verify).

the 8800GT smokes the HD3870 in most cases.

there is a possibility of acheiving Crossfire on an SLi board and vice versa. the only catch is that you have to hack the drivers that implement this kind of configurations. (check out HP's Blackbird).

The 8800gt will be dominating here in the Philippines because HD3870 here in Cebu is overpriced.

I even saw an HD3870 for only 8,600Php in Manila. Check these prices out. Just have to add 300 for the Shipping you'll have great savings.
