maybe a 7.. i have tried removing/attaching RAMs, video cards, DVD-ROms, etc.. just haven't tried LAN cards yet. and i haven't tried replacing anything built-in to the mobo.. thanks for the replies.. i think i'll be able to follow those.

you will not be replacing your built-in card, doing so means replacing the entire board itself. tan-awa asa nimo gi taud imong video card, mo or less tapad ra na nga slot imong butangan or somewhere nearer kung asa nga slot naka taud imong video card. ask your computer vendor unsaon pag disable sa imong on-board nga lan card sa BIOS or try to read ur PC user's manual.

nya naka ilis naka ug lancard bro... kay mura lancard man jud na imong blema.. ayaw nana ug kuha-a bro ang built-in nga lan kay di amn na ma ibot bro.. pwede ra na nimo disable, nya magbutang ka ug lancard sa pci sa imong pc... mura mao ra jud na blema nimo da.. kay nag reformat na gud ka.. nya wala lang gihapon na ayo.. soo naa jud na blema imong network card or cable...

i think ok ra imong LAN card nga built-in kay maka internet mankaha ka...
try lang sa update sa driver sa imo LAN card nga built-in basin ma ok ra...
or try configure your built-in LAN card into 10baseT full duplex...
kay kung naka auto negotiate then dili compatible sa imo OS or maybe driver older or not compatible sa OS.
You can force it to configure not to auto negotiate...
right click the Local Area Connection -> Properties -> Configure -> then select tab Advanced -> Value
try the four option:
10baseT full duplex, 10baseT half duplex, 100baseTx full duplex, 100baseTx half duplex

Wa pa ko k.lugar palit ug lan card, so wa pa jd n.ayo.. I dont think it's a driver / compatabilty issue, it's worked fine before, until last month when this whole thing started. I don't know what caused it, i was on vacation, and when i got back, i couldn't use the internet.

haha. ahak pd ana kilat oi. nah, duda pd ko ani amo mobo, ang uban USB ports murag naay depekto pd. suway ko palit lan card ugma.

f*cking hell.. just bought a lan card today.. connected it, and guess what, same f*cking story.. f*ck!
maybe it's the mobo that's defective?!
