I want to join this forum but I guess most forumers are yet immature to even discuss about NDF and communism.Â* They already have preconceived ideas about NPA and NDF.

Even though most societies treat their economic elites as success stories, they are only successful within a socially dysfunctional culture that has been shaped by the self-indulgent ambitions of the most power hungry, greedy, and ruthless people within the society, and such people can not be described as possessing well-balanced personalities. In a functional society, free of this social sickness (and even in a society with this social sickness), one who wants more than everybody else displays that one has not yet emotionally matured as much as your average 13 year old child. Such people are always going to exist (especially in a society that encourages us to be so self-interested), and they would be relatively harmless and productive members of the society provided that we don't allow them to actually have more wealth or more power than others. It is like giving alcohol to alcoholics. There is no end to their desire for more, and there is no end to the fear of losing the advantages that one has already gained.

Twisted man na imo example. In a communist society, collective ang ownership nga property. Ang hoplessly bogo ( although i dont agree nga naay tawo sama ani) ug super intelligent mag uban sa collective. you cant say that when CPP-NPA collects revolutionary tax to a certain person, he/she will give it wholeheartedly and without repression..that individual will certainly give the amount for FEAR of getting killed, or its property getting burned..

the problem is this form of taxation [extortion] is a form of oppression and being considered as terrorist act bcoz like i said above it instills FEAR on the aggrieved individual..since NDF status as a group has been escalated to the terrorist list, the Hague Joint Statement will automatically be voided and therefore can't be use as circumstances for having a belligerent status.

first off, wether it be 'revolutionary tax' or our own plain tax from the BIR, the 'fear' is still there. we know the consequences of not filing correct income tax returns, etc. which is either confiscation of property or imprisonment. is this not enough reason to 'fear' not doing so? so with Wordweb calling the shots on the definition of terrorism, is BIR a terrorist group too?

that is why i believe that it is imperative that we include 'violence perpetrated against civilians' as a main clause in our definition of terrorism. if not, then we might as well include mothers 'terrorizing' little children against the mumu, abat, wakwak and what have you in our list of known terrorist.Â*

i believe there have been no reported incidents of the NPA killing people who have not paid any 'revolutionary tax'. if so, kindly provide some information regarding on this.

the consequencies being impose by the CPP-NPA are utterly horrifying and violent in form..

you can say it is 'horrifying and violent' if you do not consider the fact that excercising other forms of 'punishment' (e.g. taking into custody and imprisonment, as the GRP does things ) may also be deemed as 'kidnapping'. between destroying property and 'kidnapping', id rather have them choose the former.

i dunno where you get those AFP abuses and stuffs, whether it maybe true or not still you can file charges before the human rights commision regarding the said military scalawags...in revolutionary government this is impossible.

the abuses of the AFP and the PNP are real. i've provided the links of the US State Department Report and the United Nations Human Rights Committe Report on my first post. kindly read them. the Commission on Human Rights acknowledges if reluctantly, this fact.

with regards to your so-called 'military scalawags', well, they aren't really scalawags at all, but decorated officers. try to google the words "Palparan human rights violations", or you can try reading why Conrado de Quiros of the Inquirer calls him a "Scourge"

oh yes, my opinion regarding on the matter i believe, is well formed. and it is this. i do not really care who of these contending forces will win out. what i care is that that which will win should provide for the basic structural changes that we desperately need sans the graft and corruption we currently face, provide for the basic social services (education, housing, health, land reform) and jobs, protect our industries from the ravaging effects of foreign capital and imports, a freedom of speech and to elect leaders that genuinely represent our needs and aspirations, and a general social and cultural renewal.

to be honest, as of now i cannot see that in the present set up. i doubt if anybody can.
