HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER.

"This Commandment was set down for men to better understand that honor, love, respect, dignity, had to be for The Father Himself, Our Heavenly Mother, and then the earthly parents from which all men would come. This Rule would automatically stabilize man's thinking, and permit man to rationalize the order of things. When a man upholds this Commandment, he is just with his neighbor and is aware of the need that respect brings. A solid foundation helps men to be able to withstand weakness and conquer it when needed."
oh...wow! this is a new "interpretation" for me...sorry, can't help but chuckle. i'm just blown away with that logic:

incest=honor thy mother and thy father

...all along i thought it meant...honor your parents (even if the parents are abusive)...i guess we do learn something ___ everyday.

Promiscuous involvement to satisfy only the senses has many areas wherein men sin against their role in God's Plan. This Commandment definitely says that homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, pornography, and all promiscuous endeavors of man, have a permissiveness that is against the reason for creating mankind.

God said to Moses, 'Men will have many excuses and will justify their sins against this Commandment. Also, men will deliberately attach only specific sins on this Commandment, for shame will make them call this The Hidden Commandment'."

Impurity - attack through the senses, lack of self-discipline, permissiveness, self-love.

Promiscuity - encouraging men to act without dignity, degrading the purpose of human intimate relationship.

    Self-abuse - physically, mentally, emotionally.

Mental abuse causes grave sins, sometimes grave intention for sin, permitting the intellect to become so permeated with sinful thoughts that men sin consistently and it weakens them in every way.
dang that bible, why is it not written in straight-forward manner to avoid confusion...i thought adultery involves two CONSENTING adults...and rape involves ONE "not consenting" person...*sigh*

    you're funny...i give you that.

Where do we really point our fingers to?
actually if there are rapist/terrorist/bad elements in the society nowadays then thats because the parents of this people doesn't brought them up properly....

of course. it's always easier to blame the problem/s to somebody else instead of TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for one's actions.

you can take responsibility of your actions properly when you are EMOTIONALLY stable..and this bad elements in the society may have inherit instability of there emotions because of the way they are brought up by their parents...

we just cant simply point fingers here. parents should educate their kids even if they are still toddlers..starting with their private parts, that no one is allowed to touch it except him/her not even mom & dad unless they have to or the doctor with mom & dad around. and if this happen to scream ,tell a grown or the authorities.. even by doing this its not even a guarantee. perpetrators are just so smart and victimize the most vulnerable kids. parents especially mothers can only do so much. no one could ever see these things coming. we can only feel sorry for the victims

i don't know there is a PROPER and IMPROPER way of taking responsibility... hehehe.

i don't think the emotions are our concern...obviously these people are SICK in the head...MENTALLY.

it's not fair to blame the parents...kadaghan baya'ng batan-on nga di maminaw sa ginikanan, bisag unsa-on ug disiplina gahi gyud ug ulo...ever heard of peer pressure?

some people are just plain "bad", there should be no excuses for their actions...i don't know any parent/s who want to bring up their child to be brutal and evil, do you?

Although this isn't highly aired on medias, unlike other cases mentioned above.. concerned government agencies, particularly the Department of Social Welfare and Development are doing there jobs as much as they could so as to help battered women.. you can visit their office and you'll know what i'm talking about.. the problem also is these people sometimes don't turned to proper authorities after such an incident.. partly because of fear ( cause normally these culprits threatened the victims at killing them or their family) or partly because of ignorance/lack of knowledge....

some of these women are at fault too that they let these things happened to them. like giver bert said because of fear. i see these things happened growing up in the neighborhood. i would not say that these women are lacking in education & awareness because some of them are really successful.

no one deserves to be abused.. but then if these people would have stood up for themselves these things would never have happened to them. it happened because they allow it to happen. no matter what the authorities do if the victim is not willing press charges then there's nothing they can do.

Children cannot stand up for themselves just as battered women cannot. Being on the outside looking in, it is easy for us to do what would seem logical and elementary. Is it as easy as saying "no, thats enough"? If it were that easy, we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first place.

they're successful as professionals but not with their personal life...i say... nothing is perfect in this world, i for myself, could only strive to perfection....yet still...

and i agree that "it's unfair to blame the parents" nor the siblings kasi like my sis(younger) no matter how hard i tried to reach out...just too hard... dili maminaw and nagbungol na lang sa mga pahinumdom...age gap?... not really... it is due to peer pressure that she just easily gives in-the big difference bet. me and her-this is the part i just couldn't understand!

    introvert man gud ko! :8O:
