Very informative post. I do understand the point behind the Spratley part. I do know that people have absolutely no solid evidence as to the accusations that they are trying to impose. To me, this only means lack of education and credible information to those. But if they are willing to give some effort out of it, then they would probably be able to find the facts that lie behind the accusations and rumors that are creating issues.

The Philippines does not have enough with any of the most vital factors; money, influence, power. It goes against my morals to generalize that  "people imagining such things are the one who wants things to end up that way" and I don't think that it is a good idea to just think of everyone that way. There may be other reasons, like curiosity, open sharing, and the like.

Also, I do want to side with you on what you said about China having domineering influence and power with its population and military. It is really smart of them.

the reason why the thread exsists is because our country is slowly being sold by our corrupt politicians and if you heard the news, wala jud any actions ang mga citizen sa philippines. so we are asking our fellow countrymen how they feel if other country will buy our country will it be ok lang or not. peace bro

You were asking if the philippines is for sale and is even making a poll yet your already sure with your stand that it is being sold already. So what's the point of asking filipinos if it would be okay for us if our country would be sold? Filipino citizen arent doing anythng? What do you call the protest on askin our government to make a stand on that issue?

And about what? i am not siding on any side here, i just make the poll to see how our young Filipino react if this thing will happen. coz if i got my information right a lot of foreign countries like America who wants to get part of our territory coz we are strategically located in the center of Asia, and china for our oil reserves and natural resources, and etc.

for Kalayaan island being bought "" and "" by china, yes there are some protest against the government but the core context of the protest is not about kalayaan island being bought BUT to dethrone our current president.

which still in my opinion leave us the question, what happen to our youth, do they still care for our country?, do they still have the patriotism our ancestors has?, or everything have already changed?, and why are the majority of the good crops or let say majority of the intelligent professionals don’t stay here anymore, they prefer to live in other country?. and why are majority of Filipinos living in the other country would prefer to stay there?... I am not saying that the Philippines is a bad country to live in, which in fact for ME Philippines is a paradise in Asia. But what I am implying is, if it is true that kalayaan was sold to the republic of China, and our Youth is not doing anything about it?. So what is the meaning of it?, that….. it is just ok for majority of the Filipinos to sell a portion of the country?, or even the whole Country?

And for the record I am collecting the consensus of the majority of the vote and how Our People will react if THIS things will happen 

Just to correct what you learn in geography, Philippines is not in the center of asia. Oil reserves? Pls understand what exploration means.
Protest are all done to dethrone the president? Pls change the channel of your tv to get a better input on things that are happening around you.

Korea envied us before because we were the once the best country in Asia overall. They lost everything after the Korean war and took many long years just to recover. They did every single thing possible just to get up on their feet. Koreans who went to other countries to work and find a living went back to make this possible. What was the reason behind it? It was the love for their country. Yes, their pay was much lower than what they earned out there but look at them now. They progressed more than we did.

They said that corruption is still present in their country but very minimal. How about us? Are we kissing goodbye to the possibility of change for our country? If only most of us will develop this love for our country, we would rise and prosper just like other countries out there. Maybe we'll still have OFWs but it would be of lesser number. We'll have more foreigners instead.

Take time to ponder upon this sad reality. When will we learn to love our homeland? When it's all gone? When it's too late? Be the difference! Start today!

Well said and I definitely agree with you.. But we cant blame others for thinking otherwise due to the present situation we are sucked in to.. I mean, I dont think that one man can make a difference, not even a handful can do much of a change.. Strength has always been in numbers.. Me, you and a lot more may have the desire for the same thing but what are we doing?! (we talk about change, this and that.. but mostly we do nothing..nothing contagious enough to create an outbreak of yearning for change) thats coz there is little we can do to save our country.. I am being pesimistic here, but thats just the way it is.. thats the sad reality at this instance..sigh!

Well nyway, I am still hopeful that things might change (for the better) in our country.. But not unless a thousand, a million or 10 million people (out of the 88 Mil) like me and you would commit to recover from this deep hole we are in.. things will stay the same, the poor will be poorer, the rich will be richer and we will still read corruption and rice shortage in the daily news..
