for starters, i recommend using multi-fx sa, para maka sift mo thru the different sounds you want. Maka-learn sad mo tweak sa effects to your own liking. I did this.lolz
Pero, as time may pass by,you may want a more hands-on sa pag timpla sa inyong sounds and maybe you are looking for that specific sound. Might as well go for analog. The advantage of analog pedals is that it is easier to tweak your sound on them. Then there's a really different vibe on your tone, depending on your preference jud. My problem with multi fx is that i couldn't tweak them that fast and easily as i would do with analog pedals. mao rajud na akong gripe.coz ive seen ppl doing either way and sounding good or bad depende lang sa ilang timpla. Newer multi-fx units can almost emulate any type of sound, so go figure, and it might be cheaper than getting a load of analog gadgets.
let's not forget: your tone will also depend largely on your amp, as well as your guitar. Most importantly, it's what you do with what you have, and you must develop an ear for your tone. It's not the gear, it's what comes out that matters. I've seen ppl who have the best gear and don't know crap how to dial in a good tone. Sayang au ba.
well, for me, i'm using analogs for now. I'm thinking of trying booteeek pedals for the heck of it. GAS!!!!
