and to think months ago, if not a month ago, microsoft donated millions for rice research. where could it be.

this is a global crisis. not just phily. instead na mo rant sila, they should at least help out in finding ways to resolve the issue first before throwing things at each other. hapit naman sad gud election. sabagay.

Why does it always have to be PGMA? Haven't these senators looked on other factors? Like themselves?

This is one big problem and reason why Philippines don't go forward, we're all good at pointing blame but we're all no good at looking for good and sensible solutions.

its not just the price of rice going up but also other commodities like oil.
higher fuel cost = higher add-on cost transporting rice.
this is inflation in the works, everyone sees it everyday when they buy goods. this problem is not localized but its global.

well, good for u...

sadly, some of our poor fellow pinoys nowadays can't hardly afford to buy even the cheapest NFA rice...they would resort to eating cheap instant noodels...much better nlng unta if alternate nlng cla ug kamote, cassava, landang, gabi, or bsan mais-humay...which r organic & much more nutritious.

actually, dugay naman ta ga-import ug rice ky atoa local supply kuwang even with all the new agri programs in place. ang blema lng cguro is that ngka nihit na ang rice from abroad ky ngka increase pud ang demand for china and india...

NFA said that this year is a better year than last year for local rice production due to the onset of La Nina. more rains means more harvest...

Mao lagi na ang naka problema.Dugay na ta nag import sa rice pero kung hunahunaon ang atong rice nangalata lang kay gitaguan sa mga negosyante ang uban biktima sa mga smugglers.
