try the shoes and see which u like best is my humble opinion. for running/exercises usually ive always gone with ASICS or adidas. for me why i choose these brands over nike is not because of some popularity contest or trying to counter the other, tis just cuz i tend to have wider feet and nike's tend to make shoes for people with more narrower feet. if your feet are narrow then by all means go try a pair of nike's and see how you like them. the asics for running tohugh feel like clouds under my feet. the cushioning is just unbelievable. im not saying in general that all nike shoes are made for wide foot people because i discovered a pair, amazingly, a motnhg ago that fit my feet for basketball and they were nike's not adidas. best of luck on your search
each to his own... it's better to understand the technology used in the shoe first before looking at the brand...
tech does play a role in each brand, but in the end they are just marketing these "techs" which sound complex and sophisiticated to make it that much better than the other, i mean ive fallen for this also. try the shoe walk around the shoe department with them and jump a lil see how u like them, im not syaing walk arund the wholoe place with them, sales reps in the phil piss me off imo, but get a feel for them.
somebody ehre mentioned new balance they are also good, so is brooks.
adizero.... although wala pa dri.... its like wearing nothing... adidas adiZERO...
Nike
