yup..that's the word, ncomputing...
If you'll be using such technology, remember not to turn off the server pc..

used Ncomputing L230 or L110 para ma share nimo up to 10 workstations.Originally Posted by turbomark

thin client needs other pc + server... he wants just 1 pc = 10kb, 10mouse etc..
or am i wrong in understanding?
ncomputing looks good but it's still additional hardware.![]()
ncomputing needs a server too + extra monitor, mouse and KB.. and extra LAN card, i guess, for the server if used na ang LAN niya..
multiple users using @ once without doing some server type configuration sa pc, wa pa ko kita ana..
PC Extender: TURN 1 PC into 10
PC Extender is a kit bundled with software that allows a single PC (host PC) to be extended up to a maximum of ten (10) virtual PCs. With the PC Extender system, users can simultaneously perform any task that they would usually do on a typical computing environment as if they were working on separate workstations.
Today’s PCs are extremely powerful and a significant portion of the PC’s processing power typically goes unused. With the PC Extender system, you can now maximize your PC’s computing power by enabling users to share resources of the host PC at the same time.
Key Features
supports multiple users to surf the internet, access emails and chat independently all at the same time with one phone line, one isp account and one modem
Supports multiple users to share the same peripheral devices connected to the host PC such as printer and CD-ROM drive, or connect individual peripherals such as microphone, headset and speakers to each extended PC
supports multiple users to work simultaneously on the same or different software applications from ms office, multimedia (video & audio), to single-user and networked games
key benefits
Reduced capital investment on hardware and software licenses
reduced operational expenditure on power consumption, hardware upgrades and software updates
Reduced Total Cost of Ownership
