i guess there are levels of love ... just don't know how to classify them.
maybe at some point love can be selfish that is why we get jealous, possesive and wanting to see the one you love every day/hour/minute ... it is selfish love.
but when you say unconditional love.. it is never selfish, it doesn't need something in return... it is true love.
i've heard of that levels of love, it goes something like this, puppy love, infatuation, real love ect... didn't rember all but i hope you know what i mean
YES
YES
YES
YES
all the world i've seen before me passing by... you don't care about how i feel, i don't feel it anymore.. i don't sleep, i don't eat, i don't love,i don't feel
i'll try to be objective. i wont let my happy/painful past experiences influence this as much as possible:
to love per se is not selfish. it is the ultimate pleasant emotion we know. what is selfish is the GREED that comes as a result of wanting to maintain that pleasant emotion. greed breeds selfishness, and selfishness kills love. to love means also welcoming the thought of losing the person you love. it is the ultimate form of selflessness...
if love is shellfish then what's the real purpose?
