Before burying, cremating etc. it's worthwhile to extract a blood sample from your pet and freeze it...or maybe something less tedious than freezing, like a bit of your pet's nail or some of its hair...store it in an airtight container. Why? Well one day, cloning will be as cheap as buying a cellphone card, so you can then have a copy of your pet back.
