The English Language Makes Filipinos Poor

Without the english language... walay call centers, wala kaayoy OFW's because of the language barrier.. dili ma hire atong nurses sa U.S. and UK. mag lisod atong tourism industry...

So how does English make us poor?

Totally agree.. japan has the right not to learn English kay kaya nila maging independent, they have there own people technology, and lots of stuff compare to US or Europe, same goes to Korea.Pilipinas?.. unsa man atng ipanghambog beh?

Lots of Engineers, Teachers, Nurses even Managers are HIRED abroad becuase we knw english..
many Call center establishments are sprouting everywhere because of English... Do you guys know wats this mean?
JOBS for Filipinos!
Filipinos are better english speakers alongside Fellow IT Tigers like India and/or Singapore.

and FYI English is considered as our second OFFICIAL language next to Filipino., and if the original posters says

here are my honest answers

Filipino traits most of us are practicing;

1) Crab Mentality
- in laymans term it is equivalent to "Kasuya"

2) Ningas Kugon
-"Maayu lang ig sugod"

Other traits;
1) Hard headed
2) Only listen to 1 side of the story.
3) LAZY
- We all want to be instant millionaire without even doing hard work.
- We all want to get rich ONCE the goverment Change.
- We all want to get rich THRU the leadership of the Goverment.
- We always forgot that we control our fate!

It's our culture, and the backward mentality that most filipinos have that make most of our citizens poor. In the U.S. and some other country filipinos have double or sometimes triple jobs just to survive and feed their umaasang family left back home. If a pinoy can get a double job in a foreign land why can't a filipino find 1 in his own country why?? because filipino in the Philippines are freakin LAZY!! There's a 1001 ways to earn a living here but then it's better to watch t.v. and drink or text the whole day!! hahay! They seem to lost the ability to dream and succeed, they dream alright, DAYDREAM that is...

If we cant speak english... it will only worspen the problem of unemployment! ALMOST ALL OF OUR LABOR INTENSIVE JOBS ARE GOING TO CHINA! the only ones here left mostly are the call centers, you know why? cos CHINESE LABORERS CANT SPEAK ENGLISH! if they can... say bye bye to call centers in the philippines...

Mostly our economy sucks because of the mentality of the majority of the Filipinos. Yes we are a democratic free trade country but were still thinking we are being dominated by other countries... mentalities like...

Looking for a JOB (journey of the broke) instead of building a business - (although using a job as a stepping stone is really ay okay) small microcaps businesses are the real life blood of a Capitalist country... Most successful economic countries has a high ratio of big bussiness and small business...

mostly in the philppines there are only HUGE business and the small ones are severely impaired...

Why is this important? because business gives jobs to the people thats why! and if those people who got jobs would build businesses in the future... then there will be more jobs... cycle continues got it?!


AND WE ARE SEVERELY LACKING KNOWLEDGE AND INVESMENT MONEY ON THE LOCAL STOCK MARKET!

why is this important?

If you can observe major economies, there are lots of private investors and money pouring in their stock market..

whats the difference?

you see stock market is the place where the small business can be grow really really fast... Businesses usually has two major place to get money for capitalization... one is the bank... which is severely limited... two is the STOCK MARKET!

Example: a growing company needs more money to expand (more jobs), hes got a choice of going to the bank, which he will repay every month thus affecting his bottom line...

or

he can go to stock market and sell some ownership of his company promising that hell give you profit shares in the future... this is way better because he has no montlypayments to the bank that severly dampens his net profit... thus more profit more money to grow.. growth means jobs! got it?

yah yah yah... i hear what your speaking about stock market... but frankly its like a discovery of FIRE... its dangerous but it also do wonders if you know how to harvest it...

THE FORMULA OF A RICH ECONOMY! simplified...

you > investing in stock market > some company uses that money to grow theyre business (hopefully) > more jobs > those people with the new jobs invest more money in the stock market > thus making another company grow > more jobs.. so on and so forth!

also : you with enough money starts a business > goes to stock market to get money for capitalization > your companies offers more jobs > then those people with new jobs invest in stock market > cycle continues...

get it? got it? gud!
