Dudes, kung wa pa mo ka adto anang lugara ayaw mo pataka og yaw2x..
i grew up in Iligan City, 20+ years..
Kung naa lang trabaho sa iligan, mas mo prefer pa ko didto kaysa diri cebu..
Sa ako lang noh, mas kuyaw ang cebu kaysa iligan, mag hike ra ka daghan na mahitabo nimo sa cebu,
or bsan mag sakay ka.., halos everyday naay hold-up, naay patay.. ang iligan is way more peaceful than
cebu.. Once in a blue moon ra na mo andar ang mga utok sa mga rebelde.. Even boston gani na bombahan..

Mas fresh ang air sa iligan even 5mins away sa city..
Mas safe mag sakay og sakyanan sa iligan compared sa cebu.. ang mga pasahero-an gani didto di mo larga taman di ka lingkod ang pasahero, nya sa cebu? imagine.. pasahero pay kasab.an kay mg hinay2x..
Less ang road accidents didto kay dili crowded ang kadalanan.
Once in a blue moon ra ang mga tulis2x og pusil2x sa iligan.
so katong wa pa ka puyo sa Iligan, ayaw nalng patakag yaw2x..

Now for TS,
Iligan is called the city of waterfalls,
dont miss Ma. Cristina Falls, Mimbalot Falls, Tinago Falls.
Also dont ever2x miss our Timoga Cold Springs.
you can hangout on our City Hall which is naa sa Hill Top at Brgy Pala-o, and there's a nice Resto sa ubos.
Also pawala sa stress adto sa Centennial Park at Brgy Dalipuga.
If hilig kag sports, adto Children's Park at Brgy Tibanga, naa Bcourt and Tennis Court, and dont miss their "Pan Que's"
Naay gym sa Highway 31 and Abalos Bldg.
Night life, adto Iliganon, the strips, and unahan pa dira..

and by the way TS, expect nalang nga mas sosyal jud ang cebu kaysa iligan.
and ma abot ang time nga maka ingon kag boring.. Pero unlike nako nga naa na sa cebu nag work,
lami uli-an ang iligan kung mgpa unwind and to breathe fresh air.. esp karong summer, kalami sa Timoga..
If you want to go near places sa iligan, ayaw na og adto padong Lanao, go Cagayan De Oro route..

i was born and raised in iligan...until ni balhin ko cebu pag 1998 to college unya naka uli lang ko 6-7x since then...nindot man ang iligan bai...if balhin ka didto para trabaho maayo na...dili parehas sa cebu nga metropolitan area kaayo but pwede man ka muadto ug cagayan de oro...if ganahan ka adto ka sa old market kaon ka halang2x...sus! lami kaayo! unya mas barato pd ang cost of living sa iligan bai..sa ako lifetime naka puyo ko ug 3 different countries....philippines > singapore > malaysia > US and now germany (my last stop i hope! tired of moving around ....after all these years..there is no place like home gyud! i miss iligan! ayaw kahadlok ana ila istoya nga mga rebelde dili na tinood...klarao kaayo dili na sila taga iligan....safe and iligan and dili ka angay mahadlok...

to those who are saying Iligan is still as safe as before, are you still in Iligan as of the moment?
if yes, then maybe you have no access to local news or dont listen to radio stations (AM)
all the bombings and those CVOs and policemen killed in public should tell us ILIGAN is not safe anymore (recent events)
even kidnapping is rampant these days...

Born and have lived in iligan for 20+ years pud. Stayed in Cebu for 5 years. Back to iligan early this year waiting on my papers... and no, ang gipasabot nga gubot ninyo is naa sa border sa iligan ue....which happened a couple of years ago lang (bukid2 na pa gyud na) Layu kaayo from the city. Daghan Muslim brothers pero with all due respect sa mga edukado nga muslim (di unta ta mag stereotype) ang mga rebelde raman ang libog. Lahi ra jud ang feeling mag lakaw sa dan sa iligan ug sa cebu.
Di lagyo ang mga adtuanan so less kang naa sa dan
Less crowded
Less than half ang cost of living
Ang daghan dre kay mga estudiante tungod sa mga eskwelahan nga dependable yet affordable

So far ang nakita nakong lisod ngare is trabaho para sa mga undergrad kay mag lisud gyud ug sud ang di pa grad. Big companies (industrial) man gud ug di uso dare call centers, trabaho pang mall, etc.
Pero ang bottomline is, di maayo ikumpara ang duha kay economically speaking, mas labaw gyud ang Cebu (daghan investors).
