This is not an excuse for the atrocities committed by the crusaders during the crusades but here's the thing, the crusade was supposedly not intended to conquer lands in the name of God because the bible never told us to do this. If you look at Christian history, the early believers became destitute and persecuted because of their belief. Our sword and shield for Christian expansion is simply the gospel. The crusade was at first a response to Muslim expansion, particularly the needless killing of people who wouldn't convert. When Christian states were threatened by it and called the pope for help, the pope obliged. UNFORTUNATELY,, the crusades were used by greedy men, looking for wealth and fame, to further their interest.

I beleive that Religion can cause war and on the other side can be the foundation of the greatest progress of nations.
Many successful 1st world nations today are not foundationaly atheist nations.
Although we are governed by secualarism, but by its core element are based on Christian values.

Although Religion and state should be separated because there are certain religion who are hungry for power and has a bloody history and very influencial they should not have control or unite with the state.
We need to see the current situation not just generalize everything.
Not all religion are violent. Have you seen baptist christians going to the streets and firing their riles on the air? have you seen pentacostals suide bombing? or burning people alive if they don't convert?
did religion cause world war 1 and 2? I think not.

Not all members of religion are perfect as well we are just mere people who commit mistakes and goes into trouble sometimes, this does not mean religion causes wars or they are fanatics and causing trouble I mean that is part of being human we commit mistakes sometimes, these people who look at christians and other religions like this are way too judgemental. It also disturbs me when religious people look at others the same way.

How do we found out the truth? I will tell you will find the truth start with Jesus Christ and his word in the Bible.
thousands of lives have been changed for the better. Countries built with biblical law and principles thrive.

Come to think about it what country openly decleares unilatiraly and total denial of a diety? You need a little history lesson about the French Revolution.
The problem in this discussion is that those who assume that a society's success is directly attributed to denial of religion.
Now in a successfull society we have secular laws and policies that apply atheist may attribute and assume this to their cause but people who run it and obey and live by are the majority rooted and influenced by religion, as well as the policy and laws they create.

just like today boss. it is evident that these radical muslims are using religion for their self interest.

no matter how much we sugar coat it, still, religion is the cause of it all.

People say the Quran promotes violence, that there will only be peace if all become Muslims. Ikaw boss mas exposed man ka sa mga Muslims diha tinood ni? I can't comment since I have not read the Quran. In Christianity I can't say that there is something similar. "Blessed are the peacemakers" is what we teach.

With the variety of religions and beliefs scattered around the world, its very sad to say that my conclusion is that there is no saved/salvation at all, regardless of your faith/works/live offerings.

What keeps you from ticking in this sinful world? Are the earthly pleasures is too precious to let go?
Your understanding of your own salvation in the afterlife is so UNCERTAIN that you are so SCARED to embrace and jump right into it.. obviously correct.. hehehe

Enjoy earthly pleasures guys, salvation is just a belief, nothing serious at all, even religious leaders will not jump to their afterlife "salvation".

They always prefer to blah blah blah your mind , and enjoy eartly pleasures while doing it.
