Yup. Finally they got the big one.
Manning is one of the greatest qb, he deserved the MVP of the SUPER BOWL XLI!!!!
@Streetcar I wasn't really watching the game closely. If it was only my favorite team whos playing, I would set infront of the tv until it is over. I was more interested on the commercials and the half time show. Tinuod wa gyud manigulang si Prince, draumatic pakaayo pagkanta na niya sa Purple Rain kay nagbunok ang ulan. You can actually see the rain pouring on his face!![]()
Hi Junenine, same here sab i just watched it for the heck of it kay tanan man cguro naa ang nawong sa tv during Superbowl. My team, 49ers wala gyud lousy na kaayo sila. Bitaw no, unique kaayo ni si Prince da. Morag bata gihapon. Yeah it was a nice half time performance. What's next? baseball i think or basketball.
Phew, finally back online after recovering from the nationals of the flag football in Manila this past weekend (Cebu LaserArt Sharks and Cebu LaserArt Sharkettes both bagged the National Championship Titles).... for more info, check out the flag football thread also located under the Sports/Recreation forum category.Originally Posted by Namnori

My predicted final score ended up being Very Close to the actual score (only 6 total points away) and my friend and I cashed in on our strong feelings about the Colts. Drinking Red Horse at 7am after being out all night celebrating our Nationals victory helped eliminate the hangover.... for awhile...heheh. Oh, well... So what does your team need? a QB, RB, DE, WR? this is gonna be an exciting draft and a very exciting season for NFL fans indeed.
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
To quote Elton John: "I sat on the roof, and Kicked Off the Moss". Keeping Randy Moss probably would have been more hurtful to the Raiders than a help. With a new young coach (only a year older than Moss) and a new offensive system being installed... you don't need bad attitudes around. So we will see what happens with Jerry Porter (WR with a bad attitude rep also). Picking up Mike WIlliams from the Lions seems to be another project in the making. He never lived up to his billing in Detroit and has trouble keeping his ideal playing weight. Let's see if reuniting him with his former college coach (now of course head coach of the Raiders) helps motivates him to turn things around for himself.
I don't know the Raiders' plans are for JaMarcus Russell (as far as how long they feel he will need until he is ready to start). With a new offense, I would guess that all of their QB's will have a shot at the starting job, but JaMarcus is at a big disadvantage... as he has no experience in reading pro defenses. All of the "experts" say that he is not pro ready yet and will need a couple of years to get where the Raiders need him to be. Now that the Raiders have also picked up Josh McCown (backup QB from the Lions), it should give them time to develop JaMarcus.
Well, any way it turns out, it can't get any worse for the Raiders (offensively). I think there will be many new starting players on offense in their new system. That includes possibly 2 veteran linemen that they've already picked up via free agency to try to improve upon last year's horrible offensive line. They will also be changing to a zone-blocking scheme on the line, so that should help cut down somewhat on handling mismatches.
At the very least, it should be interesting. I wonder what names will be on the the first team offense when September comes around.
As for the other teams in the NFL... I really don't care.....hahaha
