I can see the improvement using the new traffic light system, pero medyo traffic gihapon, need jud widening sa roads sa kadaghan sakyanan.

@dongzkie giconsider na sa team office imo concern. most probably they will make adjustments on Tuesday evening. in fact ila kuno na naconsider for all areas not only for coliseum area. until now sige pa og study ilang office for full optimization of traffic system.

Kuan, mao naman na ang modern traffic lights karon, sa imu na notics same sa cebu city dili na muagi og caution(yellow) if gikan red to green. but of course green to red kay mu yellow sa(green->yellow->red). Sa ako opinion, ok ra man di na muagi og yellow sine naa namai counters makabalo nata if padung na mu green. UNLIKE sa cebu city traffic lights nga wai countdown display, madugay nuon especially magtanga tanga ang ubang motorista di makabantay nga green na diay. But if ila na planohon nga isabay og 4 Seconds Yellow ang both intersections nga caution(green->yellow->red) and (red->yellow->green) then ok ra pod.

@brutuz bai are you from the government? anyways, dugay na kaayo ko ganahan mu share sa ako suggestions since everyday ko mu agi diha sa mandaue kay taga lapu2 ko to cebu city, ang ako concerns:

- (intersection sa HIWAY jolibee): Since gamay raman mu turn left from north to as fortuna(guizo dapit), mas maayo unta nga tagaan og dako nga time ang katong from north to cebu but gamay ra sa left turn, para maka go na ang pikas lane(from cebu to north) sa go but stop pa ang left turn ato(from cebu to as foruna(padung banilad)) but after mu red ang from north to cebu mu green na pod ang from cebu to banilad(as fortuna). Same sa CICC parkmall dapit ba, nga gamay2 ra ang time from cicc dapit to st james, para mu green natong other intersection og GO.

- I received ur reply katong sa mga planned intersections. Yup mao diud to ako gipangita kay kato nga mga intersections grabe kaayo ka traffic usahay magka traffic jam. unya luoy sad ang ubang team enforcers kay usa or duha ra sila, naa pa diuy mga truck nga dako kaayo. and especially sa maghikay nga ubos flyover.

-sa AS Fortuna: i also read ur post about the phases there. I was there during kato ila na gichange ang system to 3 phases(straight both as fortuna, and 2 ka straight and left from hernan to as fortuna), ang ako ma suggest is, ila lang to ibalik ang signs from as fortuna to hernan(though tagaan lang sila og at lease 10 seconds or 5 ba ron) same implementation sa parkmall and sa snr dapit. ang mahitabo man gud is, mu traffic og maayo if dungan straight ang duha ka directions tungod kay ang ubang drivers nga mu left turn mu catch up lang og timing unya maka traffic sa mga cars sa ila luyo ig dugay sila maka lusot. if butangan sad og NO LEFT TURN kay ang ubang drivers mo U-TURN sa unahan dapit. especially sa shell or sa matias. Kana dra traffic na gani kaayo kay naay mag sud gawas sud gawas sa matial and golden courie, naa pa diud mo u turn. Honestly, mao ni ako prmi ma experience everytime mo agi ko diha. ang nahitabo man gud ato katong pag turn on diha diud sa kana nga intersection is dako2 pato nga time inyu gihatag sa left turns, ipwede ra man unta to pagamyan para mas more time ang mga mu straight.

- Counter display: okay. i know this will cost more but depende lang na sa TEAM mandaue. ang ako suggestion is, if lahi gani ang time ang straight and left turn, unta butangan sad og counter display ang para left turn if lahi sila og timing. Same sa manila, sibling duha ka sounter display ang ipagawas. if huot gani pde raman patas-an ang metal rod same katas-a sa AC Cortes and Plaridel. Suggestion lang ni ha.

- Mandaue Sports Complex dapit: ang ubang drivers especially tricycle kay di makakita sa signals from new market to old market(st joseph dapit) kay wala tong taas nga poste nga naay timer display. ag ila ra bantayan nga signals is katong mga gibutang ra sa pedestria rod signals. unta matukuran lang og mas taas taas nga poste for their view sa signals. ang mahitabo man gud naay ubang mu cross pa even red na gani tungod di mabantayan ky matabunan sa ila atubangan nga sakyanan.

- near Pacific Mall: na tinga ang ubang tao ngano mu 199 siya then after pa mga seconds kay mu count down na siya. sa ako na observe is 200 kapin seconds siya, unta ma adjust nila ang timing, nga 199 lang ang pinaka taas instead of maabot og 200 kapin. pde raman na pagamyan lang but the SCALE will still be the same. Di raman mu traffic nuon, but this siggestion is for better display ba and orderliness.

-missing countdown display: ang sa plaridel and ac cortes intersection kay nawagtang ang usa ka timer display dra. daghan tao antinga ngano nawala.

-not so important suggestion: ana ang uban pde ba daw butangan og sound warning sa stop and go for vehicles. ako i think it will be noisy sad, but if pleasant ang sound then ok raman tingali. para sad to prevent nga if ever makatog ang driver, makamata sila sa signal sound.


Concern: are all sensors working? asa ang sensor ana? kanang tapad sa mga pedestrian signals sa kilid?

no need for caution if you are from stop signal. its because your vehicle is already at stop state. you need the caution yellow light if you are from go green sign going to stop..

@zzyxwilson , suod nga higala lng ko sa mga taga gobyerno sa Mandaue...hehe...anyway, taas taas jud ni imong gipaabot karon da..hehe... atong tagsa-tagsaon og tubag unya kutob ra sad sa akong nahibaw-an... ang importante kay ato gihapong mapaabot ngadto sa TEAm Office.

Jollibee Highway Intersection: Sa akong na notice, didto sila nafocus sa load from north and from cebu city. sa buntag, ilang gipa-tas-an ang time going to cebu, then sa hapon sad mas taas ang time going to north.. ato lng sad ipacheck ang left turning from maguikay flyover kay basin taas ra sad jud. wala kaayo ko kabantay ana kay di man ko kaagi diha..hehe

AS Fortuna Hernan Cortes Intersection: sa ako ra ba jud nga nahibaw-an kay ibalik ang no left turn from AS Fortuna to Hernan in both directions.. Ang rason is gamay ra jud kaayo ang kalsada, AS Fortuna has two lanes and Hernan has one. If we allow left turning, mohunong jud na sila sa tungod para maghuwat so mabara na ang one lane sa AS. we need the AS Fortuna lanes to be flowing considering the volume of vehicles. makapangita ra unya na sila og alternative going to hernan cortes. wala pa lang naanad ang motorists.

Counters: actually wa jud na naapil sa plan...even in manila, ive seen nga gamay ra kaayo ka og makit-an nga traffic lights with timer ang left turn together with straight timers. depende kung asa gibutang. the timer always focuses on the main road. makalibog sad and could mislead the driver if daghan na kaayo timers. nevertheless, the driver should remain attentive at anytime and anywhere while driving.

Mandaue Sports Complex: Kanang traffic light going to cityhall(st, joseph) kay pakapin ra na kay wa nay apil sa plan...after the awarding of the project, daghan kaayo ang rerouting nahitabo diha dapita so the original plan was not followed. mao maka-observe sad ka walay timer diha dapita.

Pacific Mall: If you see 199 in the timers, naa jud na siyay problema that needs attention...kahibaw na ang contractor ana problema sa timers at all intersections. maabot ang incharge today, which is Tuesday to fix all of them. Just in time nga magtraining na sad og sugod ang TEAM Office for the application and technical side. Gi prove sad jud ni sa contractor nga unsa kalig-on ila traffic lights...Naagi-an na gud og linog, tornado og bagyo...Gawas lang sa SNR nga traffic lights nga currently off... Way ngilngig sa hubog og tama nga driver oi...hehehe

Sound Warning: hehe...this is not practical...sound warnings are available for pedestrian only kay ato man nang gituyo para sa atong mga igsoon nga dili tawn kakita. pero para sa mga sakyanan kuyaw sad ni siya kay basin masayop og dungog, ang iya unya madunggan kay ang sound sa pikas lane nya dili magtan-aw sa traffic lights.heheh

Sensors: yes, all sensors are working but not all pa ang gigamit... hopefully this week magamit na kuno...

You may want to dessiminate to your friends and loved ones...As of now we have available 3 stations to respond to these needs aside from ERUF Cebu. They are located at Basak, Centro and Subangdako... Next year it will become 5 stations which will be additioanlly located at Cabancalan and Umapad. This project is in partnership with ERUF, Fire and Police.
