OnT: thanks for the replies guys, balik ko ugma ^^ actually i have always been amazed by the works of the mind like how it works and how we can read a criminal's mind ;P i would like to assume that if we combine religion and science, we will be able to do it.
for the win! go sreligiance!
No, Freud is too good for this subject.
You know what, that's not even the point. Just because I've been baptized at birth without my consent doesn't mean I'll be stuck in that religion forever. They chose my religious status AT THAT POINT IN TIME, not me. You know, I may be Catholic, but none of us even go to church anymore for several years, and I don't even go to a Catholic school. How does that sound?
As a kid I read those God's Children books, alright. Yet none of them really sank in. I was too stubborn to believe that the author knew what God was thinking, so yeah I ultimately dropped reading those kinds of stuff. Ethics provide a much more acceptable approach to living, and I have adapted that instead of those from the religious books.
One can always choose what principles he wants to apply with his life and that's what I do. I do not follow blindly what others say God says because that's absurd, IMO.
Common sense will tell that a man does not need to rely on religion to know what is right and wrong. OK?

^^ Even if you are baptized a Roman Catholic but you have a determination and ruthlessness same with Hitler, or Stalin, you are not a practicing RC.
