    hagoi...nag down na sad ang ako globe dsl a few hours ago. again it has lost me 2 hours worth of work! kung mag sige ni wala jud ko madawat na sweldo. tibway man wala koy ikabayad sa ako globe bills. maau unta ug mu-ingon cla nga i-refund nila ang hours nga may downtime...

    i just like to put my two cents on globe dsl.

    they have given me nothing but trouble. the service is really substandard (not that pldt is any better). i would just like to ask people out there if anyone has decided to make an open complaint against the unfair advertising that globe and other isp's have been putting out by saying 512...1.5...2.0... and so on when they normally advertise what they CANT really give to everyone!

    i am just voicing this out as i have begun a plan to contact the various business groups to join in and launch a formal complaint through the dti because of all these advertisements that don't really deliver on service. as a teaser, i can honestly say that i've already contacted 2 large organizations with willingness to support and sign a memorandum of agreement.

    i feel sorry to those experiencing problems with globe broadband...

    here is my suggestion lang to help solve problems:

    1. check your line. The line from the pole to your house. is it being tampered, is someone stealing your line, does it have the proper filter on it.

    2. check your pc also does it have spyware, adware or malware.

    if in case your problem isn't solve then kindly ask for a rebate and just have it disconnected.

    maybe you can try out other broadband services also.

    it may be globe's fault but sometimes you can't stretch the network so much. there is always an advantage and disadvantage.

    i myself had to pay for extra span since the telecommunications pole of globe is a bit far from my place...

    i think most of the subdivisions here in cebu city don't have globe service because they don't have poles inside the subdivision. They have to ask permission from the village association to put poles inside the premises and this will take a lot of money and time.

    They try their best to give broadband service but since there are no poles there has to be a compromise. It took 12 spans worth of wire to reach my home. each span is 50 meters. I know someone here in istorya.net who had an unstable globe broadband service and he resides in a subdivision where globe doesn't have poles even then globe tried to connect him but i think the equipment wasn't able to handle it because of the distance.


    i had to live with that since my village association is taking its time approving the plan of globe to install poles inside. I even went to innove plaza in cebu business park to have poles installed inside the subdivision but it still hasn't been acted upon.

    right now i am satisfied with globe. my neighbors have smart wifi. pldt has no available slots here in my place.

    HI DAGET, THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION HOWEVER:
    1. line is purely for data. no phone. data service only
    2. pc has no spyware or anything of such. very sure of that
    3. have requested for disconnection. they are working on it already.

    on another matter, i am not in a subdivision. its a business establishment in the ayala area. very near innove plaza... i also paid for extra spans, in amount of 5000.00 pesos! which i am throwing away. i got the line in june of 2006. sayang kayo ako bayad pero dili na worth the trouble. trouble with my business plan was that the ip assigned was slow. their technical desk agreed and even the technical on site personal said so. however, its been 2 months with no ip change and if i call up help desk, they cant help because there are no available ip's. i paid for 8 additional spans. however, my connection IS stable but very slow. it doesnt cut off and reconnect. my problem was slow speeds. the cause was IP related and funny enough, helpdesk said "We can't help you on that sir!" galing!

    as such, i am asking people on the forums on what points of discussion should be indicated on the complaint form to be submitted to the dti. if you have any suggestions, please send it to me as a message and not as a thread so we can keep this thread on the real topic, globe itself. i am requesting the messages be sent to my mailbox because the topic involves all dsl providers since the complaint is in general form and not just directed at globe telecom.

    I'm not happy with Innove's DSL. It was fine for one week after installation then both actual and customer service degraded. I said something similar at the PLDT DSL discussion thread. Nindot ra commercial ani duha ka company pero ang reality dili.
