    Esperon talks tough on rebels

Armed Forces chief Hermogenes Esperon Jr. has vowed to put behind bars the 15 Marine officers who have been implicated in the failed attempt to overthrow the government last February.

“I will make sure that they would be locked up in jail,” Esperon said as he emerged from a forum on human rights and terrorism late Wednesday afternoon at Camp Aguinaldo.

it's not necessary to go out to the mountains for our soldiers to seek and destroy rebels. i think, it's just a plot of the administration to retaliate against the npa because of the connivance of the rebel soldiers and the activitist groups (which we all know have lefts influence).

Insurrection and rebellion are threats to national security and are crimes under the law. It's the duty of the government to flush out the rebels. On the other hand, the government also has a new amnesty program to balance the weight of an all-out war against the NPA.

All out war? Where is the enemy? You dont find NPAs massing in camps. Its not a conventional war. Its like the government is on a quail hunting. Problem is its usually the demoralized AFP under GMA who gets ambushed.
