[color=navy]I humbly believe that things can work out for the best. I hope that this can be resolved in a just manner.

The victim should be properly compensated for the embarrassment and violation of trust and privacy he experienced. What happened to him should serve as a wake up call for everyone to be aware of. Such things can happen to anyone in any hospital but this can be prevented when people would act, rather than allow themselves to be victims.

The doctors and medical personnel who were involved in this display of non-professionalism should be severely disciplined and fined. Their medical licenses should be revoked, when justified. This would serve as an example to others in the medical community to remember what they're there for, which is basically to serve others, to serve the well-being of human lives.

When the authorities will dispense the sort of sanctions and corrective measures that will satisfy everyone's concerns for justice, then I don't think that this incident will be a blemish to the Filipino medical community but as something that will prune out the deadwood and improve the quality and character of our medical practitioners, both present and future.

Let us all keep an eye on this issue as it develops.

The actions of ' JANJAN " is a business of NOBODY !

That is his personal life where he thinks he is happy and contented .

Him being GAY has nothing to do why he ended up in MOCKERY and EMBARASSMENT , the issue is the PROFFESSIONALISM displayed by the people involved by violating the PRIVACY ACT . He should be compensated FINANCIALLY and he deserves PUBLIC APOLOGY from the culprits specially from Dr. Arias . On top of the apology , their practice li cense should be revoke or suspneded for a definitie amount of time say 6 to 8 months and when they return to work , they should be in under observation status for a year . They should learn their lesson from there .

" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America

i think what they did is very very unethical... pero murag ang dapat solbaron ani is kung kinsa ang nag video and kinsa ug nganong gipasiwalat ni. there are times nga kinahanglan ug documentation ang mga cases, such as this one maybe? kay rare ra man sad jud magpa-ibot ug object gkan sa lobot wui... sayop lng jud nganu gipasiwalat kay against jud na sa Hippocratic oath !

To all the critics and skeptics, please ayaw i-generalize tanang doktor sad... basola lng ang involved ani na vid, pero don't generalize all Filipino doctors nor VSMMC, VSMMC is also home to some of the best doctors, dili lng na manotice kay syempre, bati ra man jud ang ma-notice di ba...

Keep an open mind... Give justice to where it's due. . .

I think ang kani na problem is just a small residue kung unsa kabulok ang systema sa Pilipinas not just sa healthcare system but in other facets as well...

I hope this will correct the notion of most doctors and nurses here in Cebu (NOT ALL ha) that because nagskwela sila and nagsakripisyo sila ug au for years to attain their license then Ginoo na sila sa mga pasyente and they have all the right na kasab.an and do whatever they want....

    Just my thoughts.... Peace!

    Default V.Sotto Hospital - A new phenomenon

    The V.Sotto Hospital

Actually, i know a lot of people who are a victim of these medical negligence and abuses. They are not just an ordinary people but they are belong to the well known family in Cebu.

Both Medical Provider and Students can easily have an access to your privacy, specially in emergency room, where there is no relatives who will look for the patient (some hospital are prohibiting relatives to watch).

The medical education today is far different from 8 years and up ago where, Professionalism and Privacy is the most important in their career. I remember the Slogan, of my sister's shirt "A gentle hand and tender loving care of a Nurse", which is really true during their time. But now, where is "Gentle hand"? where some careless student nurse are able to do the OJT in well known hospital. Where is "Tender loving Care?", where some terror and bad attitude nurses are allowed to their OJT.

The Philippine Medical Association (PMA), Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) and Hospital Association must do something about this. They should restore back the spirit of Humanism in the mind of some new medical practitioner or simply ban those spiritless medical practitioner in providing medical service.
