The groundreaking in Cagayan de Oro will be held in December this year while the one in Davao, it is not final yet because it is still under negotiation with the landowner. So, planning and implementation of the project in Davao might take some time or years before the people in this city can taste the "Ayala experience".

By the way, Cebu Holdings, Inc. is the marketing and investment arm of AYALAND, INC. for Visayas and Mindanao. Also, I've learned from my friend at CHI that all expansion of Ayala Malls will no longer be called as AYALA CENTER like the one they are building now in Quezon City and maybe, this apply as well to Cagayan de Oro and Davao.

For quite some time, Mayor Osmena has the same reason to turn down investors that would like to put up business such as malls kay grabe na gyud kadaghan diri and to think, cebu city is small in terms of land area, so mas dali ma-saturate ang market. So, the mayor gives permit only for building expansion ra gyud sa mga malls diri. In cebu city alone, it has many major malls and smaller malls plus department stores: (not to mention the malls in neighboring cities such as Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu,Talisay (kay nagtupad ra gyud ni sa cebu city) and other far away cities like Danao and Car-car): In Cebu City alone, it has:

Lucia Property and from other international investors to put up businesses in this new location which is about 600 hectares. I really don't know how will this affect the retail business in Cebu. Well, it depends on Mayor Osmena....
