For me lang di ta mo generalize sa tanan, if Iraq is offering job opportunities in their country that means they have bases for that need. Sayang lang sad ang opportunity kung ihatag na nila sa lain nga nationality. In terms of percentage daghan kaayo diri sa atoa ang tabungonon. Naa lagi hiring sa ubang lugar pero ngano wala man gihapon na naka sulbad sa unemployment rate nato?
I hope sad nga when this ban is lifted, both governments can agree on the security measures for the filipino workers.
we all want to have safety in our workplace pero kung panginabuhi na gani ang hisgutan mo risgo man gyud ang kadaghanan nato. Ang kanang mga ofws ang pag larga sa laing nasud para lang maka buhi ug pamilya kay dako naman na nga sakripisyo.
ipadayon ni dapat sa atong gobyerno, and if its up to me if dili pa gyud ing ana ka safe didto then maybe a selected areas ra magpada ug ofws.
I just want insert this blog from this website: US orders pullout of all Pinoy workers in Iraq | ABS-CBN News | Latest Philippine Headlines, Breaking News, Video, Analysis, Features

I am proud to say that my father, a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of a good school, worked his ass off in Iraq and Afghanistan. And if it wasn’t for his very risky job, we could’ve not gone to college.
And so there I was, single, graduated, took up the board exams and fortunately became a CPA. Then I landed on a job with a multinational company, only to realize that I, even with a shining shimmering professional license, cannot even support myself with the money that I am earning even with the endless overtime and night shifts. If I cannot even suffice my earnings for my basic needs, how much more then are those men and women with mouths to feed?
So I, with the thought of my future and my family’s future, took the risks. I took a job in a warzone, Afghanistan.
It is never a crime to work in a dangerous place, so you could feed yourself and your family, when your own country cannot provide jobs for its own people.
If the ban continues, and you send 15,000 Pinoys home and jobless, you can now call yourselves IRRESPONSIBLE people, IRRESPONSIBLE leaders, IRRESPONSIBLE fathers and mothers of this country who do not realize the consequences, the number of mouths who might not get fed, and the number of children who will not get to school.
Whoever is/are behind this, probably guys who rides a Mercedes, sits in a big leather chair with a shiny wooden table with the airconditioning on, and his/her secretary to assist, they must have got big guts to ban us when they cannot even provide good paying jobs for their people! So lift the ban! Let us work for ourselves and for our family, coz it is never your asses that are in the battlefield, it’s ours!
You dont even have a consulate! Coz the truth is you dont really care!
if this ban will totally be lifted, I could help a few skilled Filipinos or say some Cebuanos.
I got 5 major projects in Iraq and growing. It pays really good money, and i mean really GOOD money.
but money is secondary, my problem is the field guys, I cannot send any Filipino considering my most trusted crew are the Filipinos, not only me but my boss, and the boss of my boss which is the Senior VP of a global company.
Most of those guys I assigned in Iraq are good, but not as good as the Filipinos.
And since we need to do it the legal way, we cannot send Filipinos. Some of my crew in Iraq are struggling. It would take me 20-50 emails to teach them again and again although they completed the training and those trainings they received are far more better than what I had, Ironically, I am their boss , yet they are still struggling.
If only this ban would be lifted, it would be easier for me and for my company.
It's sad that we have to follow the rule.
Guess I have to deal with this until x number of years.
