@griffon: May I know whether you're using Tamiya's enamel paints for painting the soldiers?

@all: How do you guys make snow from locally available materials? I see some tutorials but they require materials that can only be bought online.

    Thank you.

Hello again. I applied the Tamiya Snow weathering pigment on a painted surface (dry na) but it seems the pigment just slides off it. Do I need to apply dull coat to roughen it up a bit? Thanks guys.

Update: Never mind. Found answer here: http://otakurevolution.com/content/l...ide-weathering ("Step 1 - Give your kit a good dull coat. Pastels don't stick very well to a smooth surface. Applying a dull coat now will allow it to better stick to the kit.")

My first realistic military kit after Gunpla and WH40K*

Never again will I assemble a 1/72 military vehicle. There is a risk of losing the small parts when assembling them. I'll try a 1/48 and 1/35 next.

I already made my first blooper. I don't know how to glue the tracks together so I just stapled the two ends together.

    * Daghana nako gastusan hobby oi. I need to give up one soon.

@m249s: I have no idea how to paint this using a spray can let alone make a diorama. I'm afraid I'll just cover the details. This is AB country and I'm still undecided whether to get one. Someone told me just to handbrush black first and then spray with whatever color I want. The places I can't reach would just be considered "shadows."

This isn't exactly Gundam with simpler designs and surfaces.

    Time to watch YouTube vids
