Itachi is very very dangerous but he's a careful fighter who knows his limits. At the time he refused to fight with Jiraiya, he was still tired from using *that* Sharingan technique on Kakashi.

*That* Sharingan technique is a double-edged sword. If Kakashi was stuck for ?? days being tortured in his mind, Itachi was also stuck for ?? day being the torturer in his mind. It would be tiring even if all he did was poke at Kakashi.

Then, you also have to think about how much energy it takes to use *that* technique. It's like an ultimate genjutsu (hallucination technique). Takes a lot of concentration.

Kisame - that Shark-nin - also kept telling Itachi to be careful when using *that* Sharingan technique.


The above is just a theory.

Bullseye yen! It does take a lot of energy to use that very powerful sharingan. Yes, he was indeed tired, and you don't wanna mess with Jiraiya when you're tired.

It really is a wonder how Itachi killed the entirety of the Uchiha clan, which is to say killing the Leaf Police force in a single night, if using the Mangenkyo () Sharingan on 1 guy tires him (as it did Kakashi). It still doesnt make sense.

You can't use the Magenkyo by itself to kill someone unless that person is weak in which case you can scare him to death.

Look at what the Mangenkyo does - it's more of a hallucination technique. A genjutsu rather than a taijutsu (physical attacks) or a spell. It's used to make people faint or drive them stark raving mad.

It's like a torture device. It's can also be used as a murder weapon which leaves no evidence.

When Itachi wiped out the Uchiha clan, he still had to literally stick knives into them to kill them. I doubt he used that technique on all of them especially since the victims have to look into his eyes.

He's like a hypnotist. Look into my eyes... etc. etc.

That Sharingan technique isn't a big problem as long as you don't look into his eyes. Be like Gai. But even Gai would still have to watch out because Itachi is also good at spells and physical attacks. He's also good at dodging attacks plus all forms of genjutsu is practically useless on him.

Itachi was already very dangerous even before he got that Sharingan technique.

Again, still a theory.

Actually, I'm much more interested how Shikamaru will deal with Ino and Temari. I think Temari likes him. I want to see Ino's reaction.
