    Another Lasagna Recipe

    *Lasagna Roll-Ups*

    Sauce
    1/2 lb. ground turkey or meat of your choice
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 (32-oz.) jar prepared spaghetti sauce
    2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon fennel seed, if desired

    Filling
    8 uncooked lasagna noodles
    1 cup lowfat part-skim ricotta or cottage cheese
    1/2 cup shredded carrot
    1 (9-oz.) pkg. Green Giant frozen chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed dry
    2 egg whites or 1 egg
    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Topping
    4 oz. (1 cup) shredded lowfat part-skim mozzarella cheese

    Cooking Directions
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large skillet, brown turkey and garlic; drain, if necessary. Stir in remaining sauce ingredients; simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Meanwhile, cook lasagna noodles to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; rinse with hot water.
    In small bowl, combine ricotta cheese, carrot, spinach, egg whites and salt; mix well. Spread each cooked lasagna noodle with generous 1/4 cup spinach filling to within 1 inch of 1 short end.
    Reserve 1 & 1/2 cups of sauce. Pour remaining sauce in ungreased 12x8-inch (2-quart) baking dish. Arrange roll-ups, seam side down, in sauce. Pour reserved sauce over rool-ups. Cover; bake at 350 degrees. for 30 to 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with mozarella cheese. Bake uncovered an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    8 servings.

    well i do know she likes pasta cause she more cautious about her diet! so I think can anyone recommend a good pasta to cook!

    Pomodoro would be a good choice if she is conscious about her diet.

    Pomodoro Grilled Chicken Pesto Combo

    Ingredients
    2 Tbs. Olive oil
    2 Tbs.Garlic, minced
    1 can Canned tomatoes, diced and with juices (I use Hunts Diced tomatoes with Basil, Oregano and Thyme)
    3 tablespoons fresh herbs (oregano, basil, and parsley), chopped
    3 cups Chicken broth (2 1/2 chicken cubes with 3 cups water)
    2 Tbs. Fresh Basil, julienned
    A Pinch of Salt
    A Pinch of Black Pepper
    A dash of Sugar
    2 cups Fresh Tomatoes Diced
    5 cups SAN REMO Spaghetti Pasta, cooked (or any pasta of your choice)
    As needed Garlic Bread

    Grilled Chicken:
    4 pcs.Chicken Breast Boneless
    As needed Cooking Oil
    Salt
    Black Pepper
    Garlic Powder
    As needed Pesto Sauce (sold in Bottles or you can make fresh pesto)

    Procedure:
    Grilled Chicken
    1. Brush the Boneless chicken breast with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place on hot grill. Cook each side for 2 minutes and turn 45 degree angle to make grill marks and grill for another 2 minutes and brush with pesto sauce. Then flip and repeat the process. Before removing from the flame, brush chicken with pesto sauce. Make sure the chicken has an internal temperature of 75°C. When cooked sliced the chicken into strips, then set the cooked chicken aside.

    Pasta
    2. Place saucepan over high heat and add olive oil, then add the garlic and the canned tomatoes and its juices, fresh herbs, salt and pepper.

    3. Now add the chicken broth and simmer the sauce for 15 minutes.

    4. Then add half of the diced tomatoes into the sauce and reserve the other half for garnish over the pasta. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.

    5. Place the pasta in the saucepan and toss the pasta until it is fully coated with the sauce.
    Place the pasta in serving platter and top with the rest of the diced tomatoes and garnish with basil leaf.

    6. Place the grilled chicken beside the pasta and garlic bread on the other side of the pasta and serve.

    Note:
    Serves 4

    Naa mo recipe sa pinaka basic na lasagna. Mas ganahan ko kung ordinary ra nga style sa pag bake ug lasagna.

    gusto ni wifey mag luto ug empanada ug meat roll kaso i have a hard time searching over the net. Ang nakit-an naku mura man ug deli pareha sa akong mga natilawan or naka-on.

    *Classic Italian Lasagna*

    6 uncooked lasagna noodles

    MEAT SAUCE
    1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 (4-oz) can mushrooms pieces and stems, drained
    1 & 1/2 cups finely chopped cooked chicken
    1 (16-oz.) jar prepared spaghetti sauce

    CHEESE FILLING
    1 (15-oz.) container ricotta cheese
    1 (9-oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed to drain
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    2 eggs, beaten
    8 oz. sliced or 2 cups shredded mozarella cheese

    COOKING DIRECTIONS
    Cook lasagna noodles to desired doneness as directed on package.
    Drain; rinse with hot water.

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 12x8-inch (2-quart) baking dish. In medium skillet, brown sausage and onion, breaking sausage into small pieces. Remove from skillet; drain on paper towel. In large bowl, combine sausage mixture, mushrooms, chicken and spaghetti sauce; mix well. In small bowl, combine all cheese filling ingredients; mix well.

    In greased dish, layer 1/2 of cooked lasagna noodles, 1/2 of meat sauce, 1/2 of cheese filling and 1/2 of mozarella cheese; repeat layers, ending with mozarella cheese on top.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
    6 servings.

    ...wala sad ko'y secret recipe anang imong empanada og meatroll pero naa ko'y nakit-an sa internet. i-try lang ni basig mao ni imong gipangita.

    CHICKEN EMPANADA

    Filling for Empanada
    2 cups cooked, flaked chicken meat
    1 chopped onion
    2 cups cooked, diced potatoes
    1 green bell pepper (optional)
    1/4 cup evaporated milk
    1/2 tsp. powdered pepper
    salt to taste

    Saute onion, add all ingredients except milk. Cook for 5 minutes, add milk and cook for another 3 minutes. Cool. Then, fill in dough.

    Crust
    2 cups all-purpose flour (no sifting)
    1 tsp. fine salt
    6 tbsp. water
    2/3 cup butter or margarine
    2 tbsp. white sugar

    Mix sugar, salt, and flour. Cut in butter using a blender or 2 knives until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle water and mix well with hand to form ball. Knead lightly. Sprinkle flour on a board and roll out dought into 1/4" thick. Cut using a round cutter (a medium sized saucer can be used if there is no molder. Place saucer up-side down on dough and cut with a knife). Then, fill each cut dough with 2 tbsp. of sauted fillings. Food dough (to form a half moon, press one end to the other. Brush with egg yolk or milk. Arrange on a greased baking sheet. bake at preheated oven until crust is golden brown.

    Pork Empanadas

    Ingredients
    1¼ oz Pkg of double crust pastry
    3 cups Finely minced pork
    1 tbsp Olive oil
    2 tbsp Minced garlic
    1/4 cup Very finely minced onions
    1/4 cup Minced tomatoes
    1 cup Chopped hard-boiled eggs
    1 cup Finely chopped sweet pickles
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Freshly ground pepper

    Preparation
    Flatten the pastry dough and cut into 4-inch squares.
    Saute the ingredients in a skillet, minus the pickles and eggs, and cook for about 30 minutes, until the pork is completely cooked. Drop in your eggs and pickles, blend them in thoroughly. Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. You may also want to include some hot peppers such as chipotle, or jalapenos.

    Leave your mixture to cool for 1/2 hour, then drop large spoonfuls onto the pastry squares, fold into a triangle, wet edges with water, and use a fork to seal them.

    Bake the empanadas on a cookie sheet for 30 minutes in an oven pre-heated at 400º

    daghan kaajong salamat sa recipe Jack, akong eh print then hatag ni wifey kung asay trip nijang testingan.

    deli ibaligya pang kunsumo lang sa balay gusto raw nijang mo kaon ug homemade nga empanada & meatroll, nha deli sya preggy trip lang nyang magluto ug mo kaon.
