@Setsuna: IMO, it's probably best to buy kits after building one as planned. Take me for example, I'm still sanding and polishing FG Exia. After that FG Kyrios ang MG Z'Gok. I don't want to mess with Zaku yet because that thing was darn expensive. Maybe I'll get a 1/100 NG to play around with after I 'destroy' Z'Gok. At my current rate of 2-4 parts sanded per night during weekdays, I might finish one FG a week but that's not a guarantee. So it's probable that I can finish FG Kyrios and MG Z'Gok in another 3-4 weeks. I'm guessing then that my Gunpla expenses would be only one per month. I'd like to prevent myself from accumulating kits that I can't build. I'm guessing that the as-is builders would be spending more.

This is the reason why I go to Barracks because it gives me an excuse to buy MGs at HG prices I won't feel as guilty if I had bought the MG Kampfer for almost 3K. I mean I can rationalize that with 3K, I can buy 3 MGs from Barrack that is unless the 'shark' beats me to them. Sigh. Er, to the one who PMed me asking who the 'shark' is. I don't want to give names here because it's a permanent record. I have nothing against horrific price increases. Wala ko ganahan blatant lies as to where and when gipalit ang items when some of us know for a fact where and when they were actually bought. I mean take for example a certain nurse anime figure. It was reserved when I went to Barracks and the next day voila, it's FS here in Istorya but seller is saying I got this from this place in 200x. Ingon pa ako fellow Gunpla noob, "Yeah right."

In any case, I know what you mean. At least you have a house na. Why don't you make money with Gunpla building and painting? I know of one Istoryan, kiki09, who moonlights painting toys.

Sige, good night mga bro. My spirit is willing, but my eyes are drooping.

@cmotoya i wanted to do commission works pero ma ikog man ko mu hatag sa price and i dont like asking for bayad for something. that's why i started this Gunpla Addction Club para people will just paint their kits and not have to pay someone. lahi man ang feeling gud if ikaw gyud nag himo.

as for the kits piling up wala man ko unbuilt kits. well only one diay my sinanju. i didn't build it yet coz i have big plans for it once i get all the modeling stuff i need for my plan. pero all my kits are built.

karon stop sa ko gamay sa gundams. well i might allocate money for RG RX-78 and the MG Deathscythe.

funny thing is no matter what i do to stop buying bisan daghan bills mukalit raman sad na na extra money timing kaau an naa new kit na ni gawas.

niya naa pa gyud ko sakit na i cant sleep till i get what i want.

I have one prob pud dali rasad kaau ko ma bored. i want to start so many hobbies. my wife calls me a scatter brain. i cant focus on one thing.
mag labad na iyang ulo kay ganahan mu palit ug gundam later game sa PS3 later Something para sa Wii later Lens ug stuff sa DLSR later some random toy later tools for gundam later Upgrade parts sa PC then mo loop nasad. daghan gusto daghan gasto.

And yeah super affordable gyud kaau ang toys sa BT kaso lng seldom ra kaau naa ang kits na akng gusto kay old kits man usaully ang naa.

well, we certainly do have different things to mind nowadays especially that we're in crisis and really, earning money has never been that easy- well that is para lang nako who lost a mother while I was reviewing for my board exams last May 2006 and having a father who had all his time on his other family. I was happy that I got my self a work at Etel and this is my 4th year with the company and pagsugod nako, anyag kaayo ko mugasto kay wala pa man koy gi huna huna before but myself... but mid of last year... ni lain ang hangin kay ang akong uyab wants to settle na for good and wala pa koy balay nga ako lng gyud and mga gamit gamit, and I don't think my savings is enough to handle a family... so mao nang ni laylo sad ko taud taud na gyud... kay nag sugod nakog palit palit ug mga appliances and uban pa.. hehe. Mao nang gabutang ko ug signature, even sa akong blog, nga "it's just a hobby guys and never an addiction" para mu help remind nako nga kana lang gyud sobra sa ako kwarta mao ako igasto for my hobby..hehe

makasabot ra sad gyud ko nimo Sar kay pamilyado na baya ka.. hehe.. and dili pod nimo i over stress imo lawas kay delicads.... so... tulo na gyud diay ta ani.. wakokok!! pero on my end, I'm still keeping my 4 years worth of collections... kay daku daku na gyud to nga investment.. hehe

pero, madayun pa ta for this year's activity?

@suede: by the way, mangayu ko pics nimo bhe kay I re-edited my blog and I got a new page for hall of fame nga I'm putting in to recognize various modellers and katong handpainted nimo nga RX kay ako i apil ngadto.. heheh

@setsuna: naa pa ka pics atong imong Unicorn nga makalipong ug leds? ako pod ta plano i apil.. hehehehe

@davio: I guess you start with the basic airbrush nga makit-an nimo sa Tamiya ayala... naa koy nailhan nga almost katonga sa price ang discount sa same airbrush but still needs to contact him..

    More power ninyu diha!!

@Setsuna: Ha ha. I'm in a similar situation but usually just like Dolphy, one woman man ko.

Let's just start when I got married. My first hobby was PC games but it wasn't really expensive
because there are p_ted copies. Then after that I got into comic books and drawing. I wasn't
really very good at drawing. Then I got into action figures and anime figures and at the same
time photography. I enjoyed shooting toys more than collecting them (hence the buy and sell
syndrome). As of now, I'm on hiatus in terms of photography. Street, nude, glamour, doesn't
seem to excite me anymore. I got to the point where my shots are good enough and I want to
do more but I can't seem to find thta 'more.' And when I visited this site, I got curious about
what's the big deal about Gundam kits so I had to try one and voila got bitten by it and am now
selling some of my toys at 50% discount just to let me buy more. He he he.

As for kits, as long as the plastic's good and the design's good enough, I'll buy it from BT

You're just like my wife, dili pud katulog until she gets what she wants. Ako makatulog pero
magdamgo about my hobby. My hand involuntary moves based on my hobby too. Kato Counter Strike
master pako, I have an airmouse. Now I have an airhobby knife, airsandpaper, and airmarker.

Pag mudatu nako, basin chicks na ako next hobby, nya ha ha ha. Ingon pa Tony Montana from the
movie Scarface, "This country first you gotta get the money, then you get the power and when you
got the power, then you get the women -- and then, Chico, you got the world by the balls."

Maypa nag politics na lang ko da.

@miasongskie: I'm sorry to hear about your mom bai.

@all: Ang ako lang masulti is, prioritize. Ayaw pud i-deprive inyo selves. Wala baya ta kahibalo
kung naa Gunpla sa afterlife. Like karun mugasto ko 13K .... dili para Gunpla but for Usana health supplements. Murag 3-4 MGs naman ni but then again my health is more important than a piece of plastic, is it not?

Sige mga bro, basin maghilikay na ta diri.

@Suede so tempted to buy your unicorn >.< i kinda needed one kay na RIP ang banshee kaso wala cash krn. T_T

@cmontoya it always starts when we gets married. before all i have to think for is Toys, Games and so on. but when i got married it wasn't so different the 2yrs the thought of getting a house and family wasn't in my mind and nothing could every stop me from buying what i want. pero karon everybody is like letting me feel that i should grow up. I'd have to drown the 10yr old in me. >.> but for sure I'm going to throw him a life jacket before all it's too late. motto in life gyud nako "Growing old is certain. Growing up is Optional"

@setsuna/cmontoya: Same boat here. Models, Comics, Hobby Electronics, Prop making, action figures, Photography, Drawing. Repeat. So many projects on the table already piling up.
@cmontoya: 1000 grit, smooth na kaau na mura na na ug glass finish. hehehe. I also tried the rj london cans, but it never worked for me on models. What I learned though regarding what the instructions said is that spray light coats misting coats first. Dry. Spray again. Dry. Spray again. Dry. Also don't spray against the wind if you are outside, and spray on a hot weather. Of course this is just how I do it. YMMV.

@davio: Easy answer: National bookstore, they sometimes carry quality airbrushes though mostly badger. The not-so-easy-I-have-to-go-around-cebu answer: Hardware stores. Fil-Ann, Cebu Belmont Hardware, Cathay Hardware, and Yale Hardware.

Regarding tools. My tools for modeling are mostly tweezers, cuticle nippers, exacto knife, cutters, and a set of dental tools. The most important is my airbrush and mini compressor. It is a valuable investment.

    Hi guys,

    Sakto ba ni na order?

    1. Sand
    2. Wash w/ detergent soap
    3. Apply Tamiya Coarse Compound and let it set
    4. Apply Clear Lacquer
    5. Panel line (regardless of method)
    6. Paint (w/ Gundam Marker) and let it dry
    7. Clean surface of dust and finger prints
    8. Apply Dull Lacquer

Lastly, I'm a bit confused about how far RJ London cans should be away from Gundam parts. It says 30cm or almost 1 foot but I saw a tutorial in YouTube that sprayed Tamiya closer. Is it because of the difference in pressure?
