Dmads5: Kahibalo ba ka mo de-horn ug mokapon sa kanding?
Nice thread.... ka kuha ko ideas about goat raising.
Ask lang ko sa present price karon. Pila ka kanding ma abot sa capital nga 50K to 100K as starting. Pwuedi bana? (wala lang labot ang land ug goat house, fence kay murag dipendi nana tingali unsay design ug materials gamiton.)
Tama ba after two years pa mabawi ang capital if successful ang operation?
Bahin sa tig bantay pila pud kasagaran pa swueldo ana? or unsa man ang systema.
Thanks daan.![]()
bro curious lng ko mukaon ba ang kanding sa dahon sa kangkong?
or unsa mga dahona ang dili maayu ipakaon sa kanding?
nice thread!!! daghan kaayo ko nakuha nga mga idea... (ako jud gi read from the first page)
4. ang inyo caretaker is full time jud? 24 hours naa sa farm?
5. pila pod sweldo sa caretaker?
kana lang 'sa ako mga pangutana.
daghan salamat ug God bless sa tanan...

JYC; maayo adlaw diha bro, dehorning wala pako kasulay nga ako gyud mo perform nagpadehorn rasad ko before sa taga DA (TOTO) castration pwede rako kay nakasulay nako using illurtator and rubber for goats/sheeps gyud. Any concern just fire-up your queries and I am willing to share ideas in that way i can help and learn too
Palongkilang;
A> With regards to your questions about capital (50K - 100K) With this capital I guess you can have a good start depends on your breed to focus. 1st thing you must do is to identify which breed you want to concentrate DAIRY or MEAT. If you say 50-100K capital you can realy start a good stock for that, coz when i started goat raising my capital is only 12K and able to buy 2 upgraded breeder doe and newly weaned buckilng and doeling.
B> Regarding sa bawi sa capital more less 2 yrs. manimum depende pud kong unsaon nimo pag-manage. Sa akong experience with regards to cash morag wala gyud kaayo nako marealized but in my herd you can easily recognize that hte herd is growing and the breed quality as well
C> With my 15 goats before I giving my caretaker 1500/month plus some comissions on every sales and some benefits as pahalipay sa maayo niyang performance.
Balot_Sweet;
A> regarding sa kangkong moka-on gyud na ang kanding ana, pero there are times nga magbasa ang ilang hugaw its because that kangkong has plenty of water 90% of kangkong is water so kong masobrahan ug intake ang kanding mabasa ilang hugaw (tae) even napier grass has lots of water in it.
B> in my experience since im in a semi-confinement management i am feeding them diff. kin of forages. Regarding what forages/grasses which is not suitable for goats you can easily access thru internet about that concern kay dili ma memorize ang mga ngalan, so try to explore in the internet about this concern
Swane; About your concern about the caretaker.
A> If you wish to get a caretaker
first this is that you know the person
2nd he/she has the passion in animals with experience not necessary nga goats even sheep, cow, carabao
B> Common nga binu-ang, pasagdahan imong hayop usahay pakan-on usahay dili, worse kong ipamaligya imong kanding unya declare namatay
C> Every caretaker can handle different range depends on your system or management style. Kong full confinement ka so cut and carry imong forages so need ka daghan tawo let say you have 25 goats which has an average weight of 25 kgs./each, which need to consume 15% of their body weight. More or less you need to have at least 90 kgs. of forage a day for the 25 heads. So your your capital investment & operation cost goes up diba, if you want to go in free grazing you only need to have 1 caretaker to watch over your 25 goats in the pasture browsing different forages/grasses. So mag depend ra gihapon on how you establish the system in your farm
D> presence of caretaken in the farm, yes they are needed but not 24 hrs. as you've mention caretaker can utilized his/her time of doing other things once done with their basic responsibility. They will become more busy during breeding and kidding (panganak)
E> salary magdepende ra sad na kong asa imong farm located kong sa city kabalo naka mas mahal gyud kong sa province mas barato ang sweldo pero for you to ensure ka nga effective imong caretaker give some package nga ma-inganyo siya sa pag ateman sa imong mga kanding or bisan unsang hayop naa sa imong farm. Example, sa akong experience I give my caretaker 10% of the herd sales, the more healthy the goats he/she take cares the more comission iya madawat kay kong dagko ug nindot ang kanding mas dako ug halin diba. So magdepende rana unsaon nimo aron imong tawo mo loyal sa imo ug magmatinodanonsa iyang trabaho and maayo nimo pag ka supervise
Hope this give you some ideas and information about goat raising and some other livestock nga inyong naplanohan buhi-on.
Let's do our best to meet our goals to become a succesful farmer/businessman....
HAPPY GOAT RAISING....
