Come on guys, just admit that the real reason the Koreans are richer than we are is because they're smarter. This doesn't mean solving the issues mentioned here won't help, but come on. It's delusional to think that love for country will make the Philippines as rich as Korea. If Koreans love their country so much why are so many of them living here?

i think the tax law needs revision. kay sa amoa diri, tukod ka tindahan even gamay ra, you'll be taxed the same like the big ones. 1,000 na dayon. so instead na ma-encourage ang uban na mag-business, dili na lang, kay gasugod pa, naa na daghan hurdles, and most of it comes from government. isang scenario ra na. daghan pa na mga lain na scenario where you'll see na our government makes it so hard for us to progress. and at the end of the day, kanang pera i-recycle ra ug himuon pork barrel, then kalit ra kawala.

makahilak ko nagbasa sa blog niya. 100 % true we don't love our country, we are aiming to go abroad to secure a good future not knowing of letting our own land devastated by politicians, they created laws for them to benefits the fruit of our labor. eye opener now, i want to search a politician who have a heart and love for this country. pero lisod kaayo kung kinsa ni sila kay wala may politician n walay personal interest sa pulitika becoz they dont love this country. a booming mining industries since 80's exist sa Pinas, usa rani sa solution n pwd mabuhat nato para molambo ang pinas.. salamat sa lai

In the personal level, Koreans have that sense of survivality, they are entirely independent
and are very practical, as much as possible they will not lodge grievances against their government
(unless otherwise their rights are trampled), to satisfy their own personal needs.
Like the Japanese they consider this as an embarassment,thinking that it is an act of mendicancy
asking for sustenance from the government and the comprised populace for his own, For most of them it's
better to die than losing face and be shameless(that is why harakiris and suicides became a part of their culture).
That is why they strive very hard, finding works and tilling their lands, planning ahead for their lives,
and be responsible for their own behalf and welfare, they do not ask anything from their government.
These tendencies makes every Korean productive, makes their each and every life more livable and convenient,
and hence inadvertently contributed to their government partaking something from their labors, eventually
strengthening their very own government.

I think this is quite true, for we are the ones responsible
in making our very own government and country become stronger.
