aw come on.. Bose bashing is so lame. They're good speakers but just not good enough for the price they're being sold at. The only reason why everyone is Bose-bashing is because some companies have something better to offer in that range. It's a violation of the simplest rules of logic to assume something is bad just because there's something better.

well lets just say..bose is pricey for their speakers..at their price, you can get a better speaker with good quality sound. when buying a bose....you're just buying the brand.

Yes, that's exactly my point. I just can't stand it when people are all "oh bose speakers are awful" or "they really suck big time" or "I'd rather just spend it on an HTIB for a lot less"


There used to be an old Pioneer HTIB set in the family room where we watch DVDs and play Xbox360 but me Dad replaced those with Bose (even after my continuous dissaproval). I guess it's got something to do with just wanting something for years, in his case, Bose. Oh well.

I can definitely say I've been having a lot more fun feeling the punches on Fight Night 3 or fragging someone in GRAW.

Still, knowing there could've been a better choice stings sometimes but it sure fades away sooner than I usually think.


I'm looking forward to setting up my own theatre room as well but I think it'll have to wait till I catch up with me soon-to-be wifey in NZ. It's easier to setup over there and I just realized it's kinda pointless to put up my own here and just leave it.

Right now it's Focal vs B&W for me.. (B&W for the same reason my Dad's longed for his Bose)

b&w and focal are nice speakers..kanang with quality gyud ba.

i have a friend nga nag setup ug bose nga acoustimass...i don't know with bose why they really like making smaill satellite speakers. for me, what do you get that kind of sound sa ing.ana nga size?? =) i think bose is loud but the quality of the sound is not good. sorry bose fans.

I think they're more into integrating the satellites into the environment..sor of hiding it.. like a living room, or a simple office, or any irregular room. If you remember, they had that thing that you take with you.. sort of a remote setup thing. Which you would place wherever you put your satellites? That way the acoustimass system will try to make a suitable 5.1 configuration no matter how your satellites are placed? That's my best bet.

mao lagi..they're to feel you nga the whole sound is in the room. but i think with that size ba.. you cannot extend the technology inside ba. unlike other speakers like klipsh, altec, jbl, b&w, focal nga dako.on gamay unya ma buhat raman sad nila ang unsay gi buhat sa bose. =)

but you're right..i think ang ilang gi focus is more on satellites.. =)

Hehe yeah..sure wouldn't mind sticking a nice set of Bose satellites and tuck the Baserooo somewhere if I were to setup a quite small cafe for playing New Jazz or some House music. I'd hang those things upside down from the ceiling hahaha!

Its not bose bashing, because really, bose are one of the best P.A. speakers!!! The bose 300 series design has been copied by so many companies including crown etc. It is a bit of a standard in P.A. speakers. There are just so many others that are better or better-priced in the home-theatre scene.
Even in the recording studio, there are no bose speakers being used, nearfield or full range, but P.A. systems, they're one of the best, whether indoors or outdoors or underwater.
