    The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it.

    err.. guys.. don't you realize that killing these high profile crooks would mean.. putting an end to these vigilantes in a way..

    you might wanna sit down and think who finances/support these people??

    at least the city is getting rid of the other half of this crooks...the big crooks minus the smaller crooks..what would it be like if Tomas haven't sought any initiatives to at least lessen this menaces of the society..Cebu would be a one-hell-of a crooks lair...and it would be an eekkie place to live

    @Bro tolstoi

    which leads to a question if they will ever take this initiative a much serious level? at times in order to neutralize a armada of assailant.. you have to directly deal with the mother ship.. disable it and it will result to a chain reaction crippling down all of its sub units...

    i hope you'll get what i am trying to imply...

    @giver_bert: i understand what you mean... but tolstoi's got a point too. it's better than not having anything done at all, right? it's just sad that they can't get the bigger fishes in the ocean.

    are you trying to imply that these bigger fishes are financing the Death Squad? or are these statements totally separate from one another?

    @crinkle: they can't?? or they don't want to? or perhaps they are afraid to?

    obviously i put a space after my first statement.. it's just i'm wondering why this hunter team can’t just pin down those bigger crooks.. it purports that this measure is a shortcut solution of our problems on criminality, so why not take the initiative first on high profile criminals that is even shorter.. we all know who these people are, even some of them are loquaciously showing their selves on the public.. and personally, i don't even think we need to conduct further investigation so as to vouch on their guilt..

    We all want crime rates to go down, we all want all criminals to be prosecuted, we all want to have world peace... but the end never justifies the means. You all say that it is the only thing left to do, but is it? Have we really looked down into the real cause of crime, like poverty and social inequality? Do you really think that by simply killing the bad elements of our society, that somehow crime will go down? It is far too simple than that. We are looking at a far bigger problem; most of us are blinded or choose to be blinded by our emotions and irrational sentiments, that we fail to see the real picture.

    though i'm a pro-death squad but i gotta admit u have a point there... the death squad is just like a placebo it's anot a cure to the problem itself but the thing is we have no choice as of the moment... better this than go on and hoping that it will be corrected in time... i can see no future for our country as of the moment. let's just say some of us are too desperate to try out anything that might help...

    my 2 cents

    OT: you've got my point there crinks..

    @Bro bert, this smaller crooks that i mention were those petty criminals (snatchers, holdappers, carnappers..etc) which are not directly related to the bigger armada that u mean (drug lords, sendicates..etc)..u have to whack those freelancers first before getting to the bigger pro's...

    read the news lately?..2 small time "drug lords" had been whacked!...so this death squad are making progress 'ey
