Nope. Your the one who understood it wrong and didnt hit Mr. Google. The regular 9600GT consumes 96watts the green edition consumes 59watts, if you do the math .1 volts is actually THAT big on a vGPU.

Example lang ni, my card has a stock vGPU of 1.14, theres a very simple volt mod for it to raise it to 1.20 ( thats a 0.06v increase ) that voltage increase is enough to push the card outside of the stock coolers designed TDP and forces the fan to kick into 90~100%

looks like the 9600gt green is now equal to the 4670 in terms of power but almost equal in graphics, shame to lower clocks to make it more energy efficient. why not up the clocks and up the efficiency?

Funny, you sounded like you knew a lot of stuff about the 9600GT's "lower power = lower performance" but nice theory though.

Based on the review you posted the 4670 losses out on the 9600GT, i believe the same result is possible even with the reduced clock speed GP editions.

For the record, both cards are in the same price range the the 9600GT costing 300-400 more, thats expected from a better performing card.

Look i understand you like that card so much but just accept the facts that there are better cards out there, you dont see me flaunting my 4870X2 / GTX295 around just to justify my purchase or extend my epeen.

All this 4670 performance comparison is rather nonsense as you were using a 4650 w/c is significantly slower than the 4670.

what video card do you have now? fraps slows everything down, except fear2 which really surprised me!

empire total war is justified on 1680x1050 xD

i feel i should defend the 4670 performance as it hasnt let me down and im sure it hasnt let anyone down, its really a card taken for granted and everyone is looking for an affordable solution, and with experience i believe a 4670 regardless of rank and reviews will play everything and anything at the max settings, except for what ive mentioned, crysis gtaIV and now to the list empire total war.

thats wrong, vsync off would give you more screen tearing and AA and AF off would make the game edges jagged, if you have a good card max it out.

i dont see why i'm WRONG. depende ra sad cguru's preference sa tao. personally i turn it off regardless if there's screen tearing. sure its there but its negligible. i dont want my games' fps limited to my monitor's refresh rate (60Hz at max reso), so i turn it off. im not really a graphics whore na switch on tnan max anti-aliasing/anisotropic filtering. i dont mind the jaggies. again, depende ra jud na ninyo. well, if OC kaau mos inyo graphics hala cge.

Enable triple buffering so your frame rates wont be cut down by the 15's
