In my opinion, it's all about the person's spirituality, the person's perception of life.

If one considers life as a gift, then it is beautiful. If one considers life otherwise, then it is a miserable life indeed.

Any problem will pass. Severe depression is the cause of suicide. Depression occurs when there's something that you need to find or change in your life. Your perception plays a big part.

I believe no problem is too big if you have faith that your life is a gift. As I see it, depressed people need to find their inner self; their spirituality and faith in a higher power.

In truth, I feel that anyone who would brand those who commit suicide as 'selfish' are not only woefully misguided in their take but are, ironically enough, prime examples of selfishness, - for only an enormously selfish person would admonish someone who wishes to die simply because THEY would like the tortured soul to go on living for THEIR own comfort or amusement.

I will leave you with this quote, as I believe it is the wisest thing I've ever read on the subject of suicide:

my role as twin bro is to be the confidant and a beacon of sanity that he listens to...and of course thanks to his uyab kay he listens to her too. i believe we were all born for a purpose..and our neighbor Nietzche affirms we deserve to live after all ....and not take our own lives without fulfilling our task...

this is my answer to that question.. when one finds life has no meaning anymore.. nothing to live for... then for me.. this is the best answer... to just drop dead.
