fresh water man ang mga res, murag dli sila pwede ibutang ug salt water. Pwede nuon sila ug sapa pero domesticated naman gud sila gud, so basin dli kaayo sila maayo mag hunt and mamatay ra.

i'm not sure about the calcium block that you're using, I use cuttlebone for their calcium needs. I just scraped off the hard side and put it in the water. Bad thing about that is the water would be a little harder because of the calcium, and magka puti2x ang edges sa water sa glass sa tank.

sa US naa sila rule dili ka mag breed ug res kai grabe daw kadaghan mga res ngadto and samok ra kung musamot, pero dri sa pinas, naa ra nimo if you want to breed more res. From what I read, ideally the female res should have a place to lay her eggs na soil or sand, a foot or more deep. I read that they have a separate bucket or container for the soil/sand, not in the tank. I also read if the eggs are laid in the tank, it might be premature, but there's a slight chance na ok ra.

naa ko bag-o nga turts dont know unsay specific species pwede pa tabang ko determine..post ko later this evening ang pics...but for now ang ingon sa nag baligya nmo kay sa sapa daw nila nakit.an 3-4 inches pa then green xa wid spot sa shell, and taas2x ang nguso....naa d i ko problem, ako RES mga 3-4 inches pud naa man murag samad sa tumoy sa iya mouth, unsay ako buhaton ani niya? ok r mn iya kaon then lagsik r mn sad xa.


i did some reseach 90% search mao ni ang iya species "Spiny Softshell Turtle (Apalone spinifera)" anyone here can give me some advice on how to take care of this turtle? any caresheet?

i don't know if softshell turtles are semi-aquatich or not.. but i know that they are MORE aquatic than RES.. so kelangan cla daghan tubig..

i don't know if softshell turtles are semi-aquatich or not.. but i know that they are MORE aquatic than RES.. so kelangan cla daghan tubig..

and they love to bury themselves in sand so you need a sandy substrate... They still need basking areas and access to daily sunlight... More carnivorous than RES so kinahanglan kag daghan feeder fish... Will not readily take pellets... pero kung gamay pa unya imo na gianad og pellets then it's ok... Last but not the least: VERY AGGRESSIVE!!! Watch out for that very long neck kai masayop kag gunit abtan ra gihapon imo tudlo and will nip a decent size hole out of your skin...
