im in one and he's been in the US for more than a year now. so far so good, i saw him last november when i went to the US and he came here last April for my graduation. Im visiting him again this October. We're using skype, yahoo and sun imessenger just to communicate cheaply. So far, its working since both of us want it to work. I guess thats what it takes plus I think the fact that we've been together for more than 5 years is sufficient foundation for our relationship. after im done with school and 1-2 years of work, ill probably move where he is

[b]true. it takes 2 to tango. if you want the relationship to work you both have to work for it.
i'm in a long distance relationship now.. though he aint that far, he's just there in cebu and i'm here in manila.
we're doing fine. an open communication survives us both. being mature also adds up a great factor coz being an adult, you will learn to trust eachother and value eachother's importance. i'm happy even if he's far, we text and call up eachother everyday which makes my day. it really is up to you two if you both want to keep the fire burning or leave it dry and cold.

I agree on being matured and the openness you both share w/ each other counts a lot.. especially on a long distance relationship.

After all, your trust is every once in a while tested thru the mettle of fire of honesty and in the brimstone of sincerity.

if you both come up as victorious, successfull and still pursue that ever cherish erstwhile dream of meeting each other one day..

.... then it would be that same fire that would rekindle your love over and over again for that someone out there...Hoping someday that burning flame would finally be put out for good and and you can hold his/her arms forever w/ out ever letting go.

    just my 2 cents

i had a long distance relationship for bout 4 years... thousands of miles apart, and everyday we always have had something to argue about. But despite of all those misunderstanding and being on the coattails of temptations, we managed to hold on to each other. No secrets.. no matter how painful it was to hear him say he was falling for someone and vice versa. Now, we have two beautiful little girls- one that reminds me of my hubby's calmness and the other one with my temper.
So, for those who are in the process.. i wish you luck and be patience. Ingon pa nila.. No PAIN, No GAIN hehe

mine has been in a long distance relationship for almost 7 years. we already have cellphones, emails, long distance calls. there is no reason why both lovers should forget each other.

long distance relationship will work well for people who have promised their loved ones they will never be infidels. it's not easy to resist temptations. but if both couple will strive to remember and love each other, everything is possible. try to keep the fire burning even if ur away from each other.

Expensive? you bet. but if it is for your loved one. why not! God even moved mountains for us, right? it's unconditional love. i know we cannot equal that..but we should try. most long distance relationships are not options but choices...

I agree, being in a long distance relationship is not really an option.. but choices... choices that could either break or make the relationship..

it all entirely depends on the two parties involved...
