Bus is the way to go. Just like EDSA where walay jeep makaagi but bus lang, nakatabang sa traffic. If tanan jeep makaagi pa sa EDSA, ambot lang kung makalihok pa. Bus on main roads, minglanilla tadlas padung consolacion and lapu2. Ang mga jeep adto lang sa mga interiors.

LRT/MRT is the clear solution, but way too expensive to implement. Not feasible.

Now, would u say we were ready for major changes , lessen jeepneys , hence less stoppage in a No stopping area although how do we allocate these drivers to have jobs , I think that is one main problem since our roads aren't getting any bigger , with more cars, PUJ's etc ...

Another interesting conversation I had was the resistance to change, people don't like to change what they are used to
ang "CHANGE" is the answer. pero kinsay maka himo ani, mada ba ni sa atong mayor pag change. ang unahon gyud ang pag change sa thinking sa taga taw.

With the buses I feel the roads in Cebu are way to small , preferable if naay bus lanes , but we just don't have room for it due to city planning in the past ...

    1. stricter traffic regulations and penalties. this requires more citom enforcers visibility specially on major intersections. eventhough there are traffic lights some motorist just don't know the difference between green and yellow light signs. strict lane and traffic lines penalty. if you stop on a red traffic sign and you are over the traffic white or yellow yield line then i suggest a penalty of P2k. same penalty goes to those who overtake, u turn, toe outs on single and double solid lines.

    2. citom enforcers should have a police companion and should not give-in to bribe, fear or wealthy motorist, name dropping motorists.

    3. strict towing of vehicles parked on major roads. including taxi, pvt. or govt. vehicles.

    4. truck ban on major roads during rush hour.

    5. separate unloading stops from loading stops. and a minimum of 10-15 secs per stop. for all vehicles. enforce strict illegal unloading and loading violations for dirvers and passengers, if possible.

    6. and regulation of giving franchises to public utility vehicles. there should be a minimum units per franchise.

    7. higher penalties on drivers with professional drivers licenses. they're professionals so they supposedly know traffic rules and regulations better.

    8. strict penalties for irregular lane changing(singit) on long traffic lines. if you wanna go left stick to the left lane, right on right. it's like queing on an ATM if you make singit, i'll beat yer'ass...
