After Vatican II, the Roman Catholic Church believed that religions are not static cultural entities but are actually dynamic organisms -- spiritual organisms -- and just like biological organisms they grow as well.
In concrete historical terms Nostra Aetate may well be considered the most significant document of Vatican II because it has altered forever the church's attitude toward and relationship with the other religions. It has set the church and these traditions firmly on the path of mutual influence and enrichment.
