i have a question for the experts here.........one of our dragons loves to stay in the water dish. it is very shallow though, but is it ok that he is sitting there for a long time? i take him out when i see him but it happens way too often, like he really enjoys sitting in the water...is this unusual??

I am no expert but I don't think it will do him any harm just make sure the basking area is hot enough to get him dry. I give mine baths once a week. Never seen them soak except during baths. They love it.

@Doi: great photos, how old is he now?

i'm actually trying to find write-ups about this, but ako pirme makita is how the owners give their beardies their weekly bath. not the articles that explain why beardies love to submerge themselves in their water dish. but naa koy nakita sa youtube na video sa mga BD hatchlings playing in their water dish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGmvcES_zMc

ang ako sad beardie hilig mutambay sa iyang water dish. ako man siya ligoon about 3x a week. several times nako siya masakpan na nag-swimming-swimming by submerging his head and paddling around her small water dish....similar to how ducks bath. naluoy ko niya ganina coz dili na siya masigo sa iyang waterdish....more than double na iyang size ron compared to about 1.5weeks ago.

So I gave her one of my old exo-terra rock formation water dish which is about 0.75 inch deep and about 3"-5" ang kalapdon. sus, wala pay minuto nako gibutang sa iyang enclo....ni dive na siya didto ug nagdula-dula sa water for about 10-minutes. wala nako nakuhaan ug video or pic coz palakaw man gud ko. pagbalik nako, puno ug shed skins and water. i thought nahuman na siya sa iyang molt 2 days ago...naa pa diay nahibilin nga skins sa iyang body ug hind legs. ika 2nd molt na niya ni nga akong na-observe. turning 1 month siya by Aug 11.
