KO si manny!
bro, both Pac and Morales are fighting for the featherweight division which is at 130lbs maximum weight limit. Both boxers should not weigh more than 130lbs during the official weigh in, which is held the night before the fight. If a boxer fails to meet the required weight limit during the official weigh in, the other boxer has the option to back-out or withdraw from the fight. In the case of pac vs morales III, both parties signed a contract that for every excess pound equals $500,000 penalty, and that the boxer who meets the mandatory weight has the option to withdraw OR continue the fight and in the process takes home the money for every pound in excess thereof. And as what Pac said, he's willing to fight morales at a max weight of 132lbs and will not back-out. Maybe Morales will be a bit stronger at 132lbs, but that's what he'll need to make the fight more exciting. He can't match Pac's power even if he weighs 2lbs more. No one's stronger than Pac at the featherweight division.Originally Posted by medwarc

bro, just want to clarify here. if both of them are in 132 lbs,so there's no penalty na?
o penalty silang duha?
I think I'll probably go with the Solar sports pay per view. I am sure they will not show as many commercials as ABS-CBN. The fight will be long over by the time ABS-CBN finishes their broadcast.
The guess the best view of the fightwould be to go to SM and watch on the big screen but my friend and I went there so early last time to get good seat, and the main event didn't start for a long time afterwards (although the Jaca fight was so short...K.O). We were there for a long time, and although I am 6'2' this guy in front of me kept on standing and getting in my way seeemingly EVERY PUNCH that Pacquio landed (and he landed alot....hehehe. I had to grab him a couple of times from behind so he would sit again (hey I can understand when there is a really good sequence and a knockout may be looming, but seemingly every punch is a little much??. At least it ended up being a joyous occasion. It was 300 pesos last time. Wow they raised the prices 66.6 percent for this fight at 500 pesos. Not that I wouldn't pay that (cuz I will end up paying alot more to have it at home on pay per view) but I want to have some friends over and make an event of it, in the comforts of my own home. With alot of good food (not the instant coffee, hot dog, and if I can remember correctly, some popcorn that they gave last time) and a C.R. so very close by....heheh.
Yah, contract stipulates that "if any fighter goes over 130 will have to pay the other $ (500,000 per lb up to 1,000,000- for 2 lbs), so I guess if they are both 132 lbs, then they would pay each other $1 million (mexican pesos exchanged for for philippine pesos?
Anyway, I read that Manny's real weight was about 136 (had shoes on) and Morales's 142 (shoes off) was only 1 lb short of the max weight (at 30 days or less before the fight, can only weigh 10% above the fight weight). So we know that Manny has to lose only half as much as Morales does (morales has to lose almost 1/2 lb per day, while Manny has to lose almost 1/4 per day. I also read that Manny loses weight easier than Morales does (something about that he sweats more) but that was written by a Filipino reporter..... so was it biased... I don't know.
All I know is: I hope there is a fight and... Go Manny Go![]()
thanks for the info bro.....
additional to what you've said, manny agrred to fight morales at 132 lbs. if the latter cannot make it,then manny will not continue the fight.
i hoe there will be a fight....![]()
SM tickets are selling for 500 bucks a piece ... sandwiches and drinks will be served for free![]()
bro, whoever is the heavier fighter will pay the penalty for every excess pound over. i think it'll be 99.99% sure that both fighter will make the mandatory weight limit. the remaining 00.01% doubt surely belongs to morales and definitely not pac. pac will fight morales at a max weight of 132lbs. but if morales tips the scale at 132.1lbs or more, pac will take home the excess weight penalty money and withdraw the fight. but expect morales to make it to 130lbs bcoz he has a lot of mexican pride in him, and all of us fans can also expect that this final fight is definitely ON come nov.18! :mrgreen:Originally Posted by medwarc
