i just heard from a friend na her GF is taking care of an RES inside a small fishbowl nya mag 2 years na hapit and the turtle is still 3 inches, half-blind, with shell rot. luoy au. if i had all the space in the world, i could have adopted the poor one. the least i can do is forward what i know about RES and hopefully he and his GF can take good care of the turtle. i do hope it's not too late.

regarding calcium deprivation, please feed your RES cuttlebone (with the hard back shell removed, of course) from time to time for proper shell growth. sunlight or or UVB lights would help absorb calcium better pud.

riverfront sells japanese calcium blocks for turtles. i bought one pack last weekend nya mas ganahan sila ato compared sa usual cuttlebone na akong ihatag nila panagsa....
